ooh... we're nearly at 30,000 posts.

Tell you what ... whoever posts the 30,000th message will get a free sciforums t-shirt (or hat or mug or mousepad)! (whenever they come out -- ie. whenever I get my graphics card on my Photoshop machine working, which, given my recent luck with technology, may not be soon -- but the promise stands).

We are working hard. May be you could send out a broadcast to all - for those who have not visited for a while.

Ah, we have a winner! Congrats to wet1 for posting the 30,000th message!

More importantly, thanks to everyone who has contributed in any way to sciforums. You've helped to create one of the most interesting destinations on the net. The quality and intelligence of the community and the resulting debate is always exciting for me, and hopefully for everyone who visits. Thank you!

... and maybe, just maybe, I'll have something even cooler to give away at our next milestone!

a person must really be bored to wade through all them threads.

It's easy. Just click on last thread and start from end.

man, he should have disqualified people who don't post in the science sections. I am not really sure who wet1 is, but I don't think they post in the math physics section =]

What's all this talk about a t-shirt?

that's because prior to his claiming the 30,000 post he hasn't posted since 2003 under that user name that is.

Anyone knows what happened to wet1? I lost his personal email....

He didn't like the logo on the T shirt, "I made the 30,000th post on SciForums and all I got was this lousy T shirt"

Hang on a minute, Wet1 made his 30K in 2001, that his last post was in 2003 is kind of irrelevant.

What's more important is that Porfiry hasn't told us what the Next milestone is... 250,000th post?

I'm led to understand that the lucky winner will receive a beautiful, mass-produced Sciforums mug, with "Who cares?" printed on it in red with a gold border, but perhaps I'm misinformed.

My how this community has declined in the last five years. :(

Yes, I remember when we didn't use keyboards, we had to write it all by hand, using pencils. And you could leave your back door open.

Take any 24 month period and you will see that quality is about the same, it's just that after you've been here for a while you've actually seen it all and then it becomes boring and blase, but the newbies still think it's the bees balls and of course it still is.

For leaving the back door open? Never. It was always considered far too provocative.

Hi ToR!

Better check those dates ;-)

We're now over 1 millions posts on sciforums. A landmark that slipped by with barely a whisper. And no t-shirt for Perplexity. :(
