So a friend of mine told me about 4chan.org. It's an awesome site, but i found that the sub forum [deleted] literally has child porn on it :eek: How can this be? How can a site stay up and running and have that kind of stuff? Would it be risky to be on a site that hosts those kinds of pictures?

4chan is a cool site. The thing is they have so many posts per day that it's hard to moderate it. I haven't seen anything illegal there. Maybe the images you think are CP really aren't?

There is lots of cool stuff there. Wallpapers, photography, comics etc. I've stayed away from the random forum since I saw what is posted there. I just can't can't see how a site could stay up and running with that kind of content.

Like spider said, it's very hard to moderate a site that has that many posts per day. They take down illegal things when they find them, though.

You can, and the moderators are usually very fast about taking stuff down. 4chan is one of the largest boards on the internet, with daily post counts in the high hundreds of thousands...with that much stuff, some illegal content is bound to slip in here and there. It's a shame that 4chan has a reputation as a place for hackers and other illegal stuff, because that sort of content is only a miniscule part of it.

Yeah... there's some cool stuff there. But I'm not so sure I want to visit or support a site that has child porn on it.

I wouldn't be surprised if such things exist there is just to trying and shut down their site through dirty political tactics. After all if a hackergroup doesn't like what a company does to puppies it will try to discredit that company with what ever methods it has available, I wouldn't be surprised if certain scandalous methods aren't employed by other unsatisfied groups (Competitors) or more blackops activities.

Overall, 4Chan is pretty entertaining. But there are definitely some questionable things on there from time to time.

4chan is a terrible shitty site. Only decent thing it had was the wallpapers you could get. It's just trash.
