Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad proposed today that United States President Barack Obama contend to a face-to-face debate with him at the United Nations if he is re-elected next month as Iran’s president.

“Of course this time, if I am elected as president by the great nation of Iran, I will extend that invitation [to President Obama] one more time for a debate at the UN headquarters,” President Ahmadinejad said on Monday.
During his previous visit to the United Nations headquarters he invited former US President George W. Bush to join him in a debate on global issues.

Pres. Ahmadi Nejad would completely obliterate Obama in a debate. The reason being that he actually debates the difficult issues which American candidates tend to ignore. If you view several of his appearances in the US, such as the one in Columbia, you will see that he is a very patient and resilient debater, even when the odds are against his favor, he manages to win the crowd over. Obama has become nothing more than a hollow celebrity, whose cult following and reputation precede his actual capabilities.
