View Full Version : All Christians Will End Up In Hell According To The Bible.
Proud_Syrian 05-17-03, 03:08 AM Dear Christians:
How can you know for sure you are saved when Jesus himself
made statements declaring you are headed for Hell ?
For Example :
" But I say to you that every one who is angry with his
brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his
brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says,
'You fool!' shall be liable to the hell of fire . " Matthew 5:22''
Surely you have said bad words now and then ,
therefore according to Jesus , you will taste the
Fires of Hell and are not Free from punishment according to Jesus . ...read more:

Yes, they shall burn in hell for being bad at math, and for adhering to a form of polytheism.

answers 05-17-03, 10:40 AM www.livingwaters.com this site will give you the reasons why some are going to hell, and the reason why some are not.
I'll quickly go through the basics of christianity for you concerning your statement/presupposition, or whatever it was, it's 1:30 in the morning and I'm tired as, so this is going to be a bit bodgy. But anyway: Sin is the failing to keep Gods law. God's law is the ten commandments. One of them is not to murder. Jesus said to the proud pharasies who thought they were justified by the law, that even hate is murder, and that they are going to hell becuase of it. This is because God sees everything, even your desires, so you don't have to carry out your hatfilled action to murder, just have the intention, and the basis for that intention is hate. (You've got to remember, God is picky becuase He is comparing His perfection with our sinfullness, by the way this shouldn't sound reasonable to a non christian, unless God is doing something to you - regeneration......theology, not bothered going thorugh too long) So we have all sinned, we've all failed to keep the ten commandments, we're all destined to hell. BUT "God so loved the world that He gave His only son, so whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life".
Isn't it great how a religious/philosophical argument can be answered based on the knowledge recieved from a childs first sunday school lesson. "God has made the wisdom of this world foolishness". So true.
CyA, too tired to keep explaining, just buy a bible commentary or something, it's a much faster way of learning about the bible, considering that's what it's for, compared to asking Christians who are not perfect. Basically if you want to learn about perfection, seek your perfect answer in a book which is perfection. I like the word perfection lol CyA's
man_of_jade 05-17-03, 12:49 PM Id post something to counter this, but if you go to www.rr-bb.com or http://chat.rr-bb.com they can explain it pretty well. Chat usually picks up at around 8-9 hours from now.
Clockwood 05-18-03, 01:16 AM If Im sent to hell I will try to make the best of it. No sense worrying about it in the meantime.
Michael 05-18-03, 04:50 AM Are Martyrs Spared or Will all Muslims go to Hell? (http://www.answering-islam.org/Quran/Contra/qi029.html)
I just thought this was an interesting stament as the Qur'an seems to say something similarly:
Martyrs go to paradise immediately:
And if ye are slain, or die, in the way of Allah,
forgiveness and mercy from Allah are far better than all they could amass.
And if ye die, or are slain, Lo! it is unto Allah that ye are brought together.
-- Sura 3:157-158
Think not of those who are slain in Allah's way as dead.
Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord;
-- Sura 3:169
Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods;
for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise):
they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain:
a promise binding on Him in truth,
through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an:
and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah?
then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded:
that is the achievement supreme.
-- Sura 9:111
On the other hand.....
There will be no one of you who will not enter it (Hell).
This was an inevitable decree of your Lord.
Afterwards he may save some of the pious, God-fearing Muslims out of the burning fire.
-- Sura 19:71-72
" But I say to you that every one who is angry with his
brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his
brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says,
'You fool!' shall be liable to the hell of fire . " Matthew 5:22''

Precisely Matthew - or Jesus' - point. You'll remember that controversial statement that Jesus made, that even looking at a woman lustfully is like adultery?
The problem that Jesus was trying to expose in His sermon on the mount, was people who think they could escape judgment by their own good lives. The Pharisees were prime examples of people who thought they could. That's the point of the parable in Luke 18, when the Pharisee prayed:
" God, I thank you that I am not like other men--robbers, evildoers, adulterers--or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get," while the tax collector's prayer was: "God, have mercy on me, a sinner."
Yes we will all be judged and we are all guilty. Otherwise Jesus wouldn't have had to pay the price of our freedom.
answers 05-19-03, 07:59 AM Very big coincidence (if you believe they exist lol). I just posted a Christian perspective on martrys, mainly the apostles. I think you'll find it answers a lot of your questions. It's title is "Christianity: Title: Just A Belief".

EvilPoet 05-19-03, 09:49 AM "The whole foundation of Christianity is based on the idea that
intellectualism is the work of the Devil. Remember the apple on
the tree? Okay, it was the Tree of Knowledge."You eat this apple,
you're going to be as smart as God. We can't have that."
