I might be a bad dad, I never really was there for my children, hell I rarely even sent them birthday cards, but by god I know when I accidentally voted too many times for certain options on internet polls, and no one can ever take that away from me.

A vote for me will bring you many things, and I'd like to take some of my time to point them out to you.

My opponent has accused me of being against change, against doing what is right. I can tell you honestly that these attacks on my character are totally unfounded and false, and that no one alive would tell you any different.

I want this campaign to take the high road. You all know where I stand on the issues...if not exactly where. We have to keep the neocons guessing! And the extremists. The Revolution Will Be Televised! Or the Establishment will be. And I think you know me well enough for me to say that I believe in either opinion with equal commitment and homespun fervor. But not too much; not, say, a scary amount that would damage my chance of election.

I write to you today because I have recently been the subject of scurrilous and unfounded charges by another candidate in this tightly-contested electoral race. It goes without saying that these reprehensible and unfounded charges are reprehensible and unfounded. I am going to say this once, and for the record:

Ah - did not - have sexual - relations - with - those - marmosets. Those ones, over there. Under the tree. Yes, those ones. And I am shocked and astounded that my opponent could suggest such a thing.

If the truth be known, and so as to avoid damage to their reputations, thinking nothing of my own or the impending election, I want to clarify the situation. I yelled frantically for help but I could see there was no one nearby to answer my cries. Instinctively I shucked off my expensive shoes and tore off my shirt to reveal my rugged, well-furred chest, then leaped into the water.

The adult marmosets were frantic by now and bleated helplessly. Hair flashing wetly, I effortlessly covered the three or four strokes to the baby marmoset just as it was going under for the third time. I hoisted the baby clear of the cold grip of watery death and, without hesitation, uncoiled my massive penis. It was now or never. I steeled myself for what must, inevitably, come next.

Using it as a lasso, I was able to snag a tree and haul both myself and the baby marmoset to safety, handing her back to her parents, who thanked me in their chittering marmoset tongue. That or I was standing on their food fish, I really can't be sure. I received some cuts and bruises of course from handling a panicked marmoset in the water, but the temporary loss of blood and sexual function was nothing compared to the potential loss of life.

My office has come into possession of some very incriminating photos of this self-professed moral missionary in the act of cruelty to dead dogs. I don't want to say which member it is: I'll merely point out that his name rhymes with "Stonetic" and leave it at that. It is with deep regret that I must announce, circumstances outside of my control led to the delay in this conference.

Unfortunately, I was detained at Heathrow Airport under some preposterous allegations I can only assume were invented by none other than a bitter opposition leader. For the sake of those involved and possible legal repercussions, I can't name names, as I'm sure you can sympathise.

It was alleged that I had in fact attempted to smuggle an estimated forty seven sex toys without paying duty, and more seriously, three child sex slaves. It goes without saying that these nefarious and sickening allegations against myself hold absolutely no truth and were the creation of somebody willing to deceive for their gain. This person knows not when to stop and with luck they'll be brought to justice.

In no way was my detainment, and consequently my not being here to speak with you in any way related to the opening of the new Big Brother series.

I aplogise in full and hope that you, the people, will understand that this situation was entirely out of my control and in no way due to any choices I have made. I must repeat that these allegations are entirely false and bear no resemblance to the truth.

This leaves me with little time to bring forth some of the policies and plans for progress that I had wanted to speak about. Although, in the limited time I have, I will try to outline them.

Politicians are widely regarded as sly and mischievous figures who look after themselves first and the people second. In many cases, some that you have heard about very recently in fact, this can be seen to be true. I plan to crush these liars, cheats and extortionists and give you what is right. No more will they pilfer money from charitable and noble causes for their own gain. No more will they lie to you and walk over you. You do not deserve to be treated in that way. I call for greater transparency and I myself aim to lead by example in this mission. I urge you to question my expenses, to question my methods and to treat me as a peer. I am not above the law or better than the man or woman on the street. My release from security, shortly after being detained, clearly shows that I broke no rules.

I one hundred percent condemn the hideous and brutal attack on Richard Fairbrass in Moscow recently. Nobody deserves this kind of treatment. I have already taken some action and aim to talk with some Russian delegates in regard to this matter. Also, whilst I'm there, I intend to bring up the subject of the systematic brainwashing of the Russian people. That EMI interferes with aviation is a commonly believed myth in Russia and countries of the former Soviet Union. It has been scientifically proven that "the Russians are no good at flying planes" and despite only asking for certain information, the scientist in charge of the report went on to say, "In fact, the Russians are pretty awful at building and operating most things. Cars and planes especially. If you hear a Russian accent when your captain speaks on the plane, I strongly suggest you exit the plane before it leaves the ground".

The scientist in question mentioned the fact that the Russians sent a dog into space. He was rather strongly opinionated on this issue, in fact. It is with some regret that he was struck off the official register shortly after completing this requested research. Although, I can assure you that the information in the report is entirely factual. This has been verified by anonymous scientists who accepted a small payment for their opinions.

The question of draqon is one that I must work on. With fairness in mind, I foresee some issues with it. I think some people were cheating by using alts, but I don't know who. If I had gotten this many votes in the beginning, I would not have been surprised. But I didn't. Now it amazes me that I received so many votes from the beloved members of this forum to put me in the lead without using any alts.

At first I didn't think my campaign was going very well. Some of the other members have some great campaigns such as tablariddim, geoffp, phonetic, and TOR. I felt most threatened by One Raven's ingeneous witty druken campaign. I wasn't sure if I could out-do it. Who am I kidding? This is me I am talking about. I was always sure I could out-do it. Since I started my haiku campaign, I garnered about votes from I don't know who that put me in the lead. It seems to be a good match. Whether I win or lose in the end, I find it to be an overall interesting experience.

Nice try. Sorry. Every single one of my votes are legit. I have not used any alts, and don't intend to. If anybody else has used an alt to vote for me twice, I don't know about it.
