Are we all reaaally dumb?
Cause we really rely on our limited perspectives and subjective interpretation of the world....

I'm not talking necessarily about empiricism, I'm talking about everyday life....

As opposed to... for instance, relying on other's limited perspectives and subjective interpretations?

No we're not dumb, but we are limited and, ultimately we have no choice. The thing to do I guess, is to constantly try to broaden our own perspectives and endeavour to be more objective in our thought patterns.

Well... for some reason you reminded me of Roger's theories on congruence...

http://216.239.57.104/search?q=cache:pSetS4kx3k0J:www.wynja.com/personality/rogersff.html+Rogers+congruence&hl=en

"The needs for positive regard from others and positive self-regard would match organismic evaluation and there would be congruence between self and experience, with full psychological adjustment as a result (Rogers, 1959). "

"There is some empirical support for the hypothesis that congruence between self and experience leads to better personality adjustment and less defensiveness (Chodorkoff, 1954; cited in Rogers, 1959)."

And also found this:
"We do not come into the world estranged from ourselves, socialization is behind this alienation. Rogers (1961) finds the human infant to actually be a model of congruence. He/she is seen as completely genuine and integrated, unified in experience, awareness and communication. Distorted perceptions from conditions of worth cause our departure from this integration."

Which agrees a lot with my own theory... :p

For a more direct explanation see:

www.growth-works.com/library/nonfiction/interpersonal.PDF

(page 2)
"Congruence is the term we have used to indicate an accurate matching of experiencing and awareness. It may be still further extended to cover a matching of experience, awareness, and communication."

Funny, but 'intergrated' is the term I used to describe my feelings when I reached 30.

Whatever... if I am really dumb, then I will live dumb and die the same way, nothing I can change about that.

But really, just because we are limited does not mean we are dumb. But of course, there are some morons around... Well, for what do I vote now? Probably #4. :p

Define the word dumb first. I would say that there are many uneducated people living in this world that with a good education would be profoundly better off.
