Ever since a few months ago, two problems troubled me. I don't have a single book that can help me, maybe you people can.

1. An object with a mass of N newtons hangs from two wires, The first wire is X feet from the ceiling haning at A degrees. Another wire hangs at Y feet at B degrees. Find the tension of each wire.

2. Find the area of an elipse, X units horizontal and Y units vertical in size. Also the area of an elipsoid, x=X, y=Y, z=Z

Area of an ellipse = pab, where a and b are the lengths of the semi-major and semi-minor axes.
