For Christmas, I have asked for a bicycle to help me get into shape for a future position in law enfrocement. I have tried running for recreation and fitness and just cannot do it because for one, it hurts my shins and two..I think I am pushing myself to hard to fast and I dislike running real fast. So..is biking going to be as good as excersising as running? I assume it will be better on certain parts of my body where running can have wear and tear on certain body parts.
