At what frequency do they exist? Anybody know?

I dont think it works that way..

the brain flashes threw its nueral net...

and the cycling rate is relative to states of consciousness..

ususally about 7/sec or so.. when awake.. i think i cant remember the exact values..

sleeping reduces this rate... to 4 or 5..

thats why observing flashs at 4/sec can cause seizures....

the eyes.. by their input .. and the bright light seen..
causes the brain to go into the lower rate.. while still awake... bad.

it also supposively works to use higher flash rate such as 9 or 10... FOR achieving higher states of consciousness....

one reason people may like music.. fast music.

i have done experiments with led's.. held to my eyes.. at 14 hertz..

and after a couple seconds i did suddenly feel something change in my mind...

but it is not clear what it was... and i dont like experimenting with my brain..

in animation.. they use a frame speed of no less than 18 frames a sec or so..

if you used 10/sec.. people would be able to notice the changing frames..

but at 18 or more.. the brain is unable to catch the rapid change.

but.. again.. subliminal effects work.. as by adding one frame with a message randomly in a film.... every few seconds or minutes...

we cannot consciously reognise what we saw.. but we saw it.

and our subconscious mind saw it..

so for that one frame our mind was stimluated with whatever image was there...

like hot dogs..

we were watching dumbo... but a few flashes of hot dogs causes hot dogs to come up in our thoughts.. which my lead to us buying one...

I HAVE MADE gifs... for the purpose of self brainwashing.. it does seem to work..
but NOT as much as i would like...

maybe i need better software.

You guys really need to use your googles. Other than that, interesting thread.

If you hook up your brain to an EEG machine, a number of superposed waves are evident. From memory, I think the frequencies are usually a few Hertz.
