If you went to a costume party and could choose any costume you wanted what would it be?

Remember there is no theme, like Halloween or Roman.
And has anyone ever been to a good one? Or turned up in costume to discover that it's not a costume party?

I don't know but something modest.

I really don't know. I would probably go for something corny like a Grim Reaper costume..

How about this one though? :p

We had a really amazing 1920's party one year for St. Patrick's day with a 'speakeasy' theme.

Everyone dressed the part and the home it was at was perfect for the occasion.

if i had to pick, i'd say a KISS costume. nothing like glam rock n roll. and it's easy. i dressed up as paul stanley several years.

won a costume party as wonder woman though. all i had to do was don my underroos.

Last one I went to at Halloween, I went as 'Ruprecht Kroenen' from Hellboy;

That's me and my mate, who went as 'Hellboy'. I made both the costumes from scratch.

Here's Ruprecht in the film;

And has anyone ever been to a good one? Or turned up in costume to discover that it's not a costume party?I had sort of the opposite experience, of turning up in costume and the other people thinking it wasn't a costume.

I went as an outlaw biker, with some kind of heavy-metal concert t-shirt, a leather jacket, and my wife drew tattoos all over my arms with a felt pen. The best one simply said "Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll." I spent the evening in character, swaggering around and drinking beer from the bottle.

She said that when she went back to work her staff started being really nice to her and doing everything she told them to do. Then she heard somebody whispering in the hallway, "Did you know that Mrs. Fraggle is married to some really tough biker dude?"

Did she continue to let them believe it ?

This is one of the very few fantasy costumes that I would not want my wife to wear. I've seen too many spongebob episodes and wouldn't be able to get past it.

Its not a Mickey Mouse mask... its a real soviet era gas mask. The riot police in the photo are Georgians, he's PhotoShoped ears onto the riot cops helmet. And that’s not a grenade launcher it’s a tear gas launcher.

Um, that would be a "tear gas grenade" launcher, no?
Most of those launchers are multi-purpose weapons: they fire different types of grenade (or solid baton round) depending on what's put in the magazine...

Yeah, You could always do a toned down version of Elvira, or else risk the worry of having a nipple pop out at an inopportune moment.
