If the rumours are true, it is a great relief to see the Ba'ath unraveling so early. It would be wonderful to see Saddam go out like Mussolini.

For all my suspicion and distaste for the Bush administration's poor diplomacy and arrogance, I must salute the excellent surgical nature of this attack so far delivered by US and British forces. Let's hope that we can win with an Iraqi mutiny, and not urban warfare in Basra, Baghdad, and Tikrit.

In the best case, I am still very worried about the stability of the occupation, and of the region in general.

A very clean hit with no notable damage to civilian areas. *applauds*

The war hasn't started yet.

Yes, let's wait on the "everything's going smoothly" argument, at least until the war is over. Don't forget, we're only a day or two deep.

define "notable damage"
I'm guessing that destruction equivalent to what happend at the WTC will not be considered "notable damage to civilian areas" in reporting on this war.

We didnt blow up any skyscrapers, hospitals, residential aread, power grids, oil wells (he did that himself), or the like. One bad asp governmental complex in the heart of Baghdad and thats about it.

Heck, if we were as bad as everyone says we are why didnt we just daisycutter, arpetbomb, or nuke the place?

Bush and saddam are irresponsible leaders of humanity. I applaud bushes actions. In so doing he began the unraveling of the international government. This will radiate from the middle east and to the west. China and india are not ready to become superpowers so we will take afew steps back. With mutiple power viaing for power.
