My heart gos out to those who have lost loved ones. but PLEASe dont forget about the Iraqui people and what has and is happening to them. It is absolutely unbelievable what they have been through and are going through. THAt doesn't get reported on the mainstream media. so let be VERY briefly remind others

they had years and years of sanction by the west, which horribly killed over a million children

They were under a tyrant

The last gulf war used depleted uranium, which is a radioactive substance when it explodes causing cancers, new hybrids of cancers, birth defomities and severe and unalterable pollution
THEn it was mainly used in the desert

In the present way hundreds of tons has been unleashed in actual populated areas!
It is unreported the actualcasualties and deaths from DU, from last war and this one, Plus actual deaths of Iraqi people generally goes unreported by the media. The American miliaries only public acknowledgment regarding death of people in Iraq is that they are 'collateral damage' .

Not to be a nictpicker here, but depleted uranium is just that... depleted. Yes, it is slightly radioactive... but so is the granite under New York state.

Uranium is said to be "depleted" when most of its radioactive components have been removed during enrichment, usually to be used in reactors or atomic weapons, and you get a heavy metal left behind that is not altogether different from lead. DU causes unwarranted concern based on its association with the word “uranium”. It can be toxic as u dust, but not much more than half the stuff we use in weapons.
