View Full Version : Favorite country related to Iraq war. blankc 04-25-03, 06:46 PM Let's see who is liked the most. Alien Mastermind 04-26-03, 09:08 AM Go Russia! I don't know why I voted for Russia... Perhaps because it is the closest thing to Latvia, my country of birth. Also, a great many famous scientists and artists came from Russia in the past, before communism. I'm not so sure how they were related to the Iraqi war though... Coldrake 04-26-03, 10:45 AM I have a 3-way tie: the US, Britain and Australia. Salty 04-26-03, 12:01 PM I like the Aussies. spookz 04-26-03, 12:07 PM vive la france (http://mitglied.lycos.de/fkkfrance/bilder/vive.jpg) Alien Mastermind 04-26-03, 02:06 PM Umm spookz, don't you think thatpicture's a little inapropriate? I must say though, that's one big reason I like France. Tiassa 04-26-03, 06:19 PM After helping land the US in three wars (well, two and a "police action"), and despite whatever cultural differences make French and Americans simmer symbiotically, at least this time the French have the coincidental blessing of landing on the side closest to the right thing to do. Remember that France is used to being devastated by wars; WWI, WWII, getting trounced in Vietnam. It seems to me that, whatever else you can find to hold against the French, this ought to explain their opposition to imperial aggression. Where have all the flowers gone? So we lost fifty-thousand or so in Vietnam? France is used to losing generations in wars. None of us were alive for the American Civil War, so it's kind of hard to grasp if we're not French. Yes, they're strange to me as all things French--e.g. Peugot automobiles--but someone has to have the balls to be smarmy to Americans. :m:, Tiassa  Carmagio 04-27-03, 06:15 AM You seem to be missing some countries  Where's Canada for example? aghart 05-07-03, 05:41 PM Not polite to vote for one's own country so I go for Australia despite the fact that both Fosters and Castlemaine XXXX beer give me a terrible headache. SuperFudd 05-09-03, 12:38 AM Poland RULES! The Marquis 05-09-03, 01:39 AM aghart... Fosters and Castlemaine XXXX are exported for the simple reason that nobody here actually drinks the shit ;) I'd say Britain and Australia, for the professional handling of the affair at a military level. The US as well, but... their army needs some work. aghart 05-09-03, 03:47 AM Originally posted by The Marquis aghart...
