There's something most people don't comprehend about having large and flat feet. I was in the shower the other day, walking around on the soapy floor. My flat feet would push all air out from underneath creating a vacuum, when I stepped there came a resounding "shpack."

Flat feet suck.

Does anyone know of some good priced cushion soles?

Well actually it's more how you walk that can be a slight remedy. Try walking on the outside of your feet. Your muscles over time will remember the position and an arch will be created on the inner part of your feet. At first it's really hard but make a game out of it. See how long you can walk without letting the inside of your foot touch the ground. And no it does not look weird. No one can see you doing this if they see you walking. It's not that exaggerated.

When I get a new pair of skates, what I do is get the hairdryer on the insides of my skates for a while until they are pretty hot, and then put them on tightly and start using them. This makes the insides of the skates mould to your foot and make a great fit.

It may work just as well with shoes, but I don't know because my flat footedness has never bothered me with shoes.

My husband just got some Scholl's inserts. Its those things where you stand on a thing in the store. They cost $50 but he says they work.

That for sure seams the best way around this. But sometimes I wonder about adding compounds to sweaty areas, I think over time it's possible that chemicals from shoes and arch supports seep in through the sweaty pores.
