Stern puts up a bulletin board on his web site, and according to the company that runs it for him, it's the forum with the most traffic on the internet currently. I've been listening to his spot for the last couple days, and he spends about 20 minutes boasting about his forum and how it needs 8 servers to run, and there's more on the way.

You can only register after 10 pm eastern (because of the high traffic, they don't registering happening during peak hours). But I think it'll be worth a laugh to check it out and see what's the big deal with it. I haven't seen it yet. Stern is like a god to some people, and with the anonymity of the internet, the fanatics and, frankly, insane listeners of him have a place to spawn their adoration of him to the point of making him legendary....am I going too far to say that?

People on Internet forums have a way of missing reality and creating some mythic or abstract way of seeing whatever is the point of discussion. I think Stern's forum is an ingeneous idea because it feeds his ego like no other way could. It's perfect for him.

Jeez! I used to watch his show here and to be honest, I didn't like it that much, although I must consider the humor factor, yes, theres some humor in all the shit he says and some of those brainless chicks are quite good, I mean, they're hot :)

I watched his show but found it all about Howard more than anything else. I didn't find it very funny or entertaining listing to him cut people down , swear allot, be vulger and other non entertaining things. You can have him because he is laughing all the way to the bank with a show of crap.

Sounds like Stern's gone through a bit of changed since I stopped listening to him. He was kinda funny every now and again. But after 9/11 he just became a total right-wing nazi type. I'm surprised he never joined the nazi party and started goosestepping around his studio. He probably got Gary the retard to do it instead.

i find the FCC pathetic...they are fining him millions of dollars (well, VIACOM, really) from indecent incidents from 3 YEARS AGO. they want him off the air so bad, they go back 3 years to something that really doesnt even matter anymore. Howard will be off the air within a few months (or whenever his contract runs out, i forget how long).

THat's what's weird. Last time I saw or heard the show, Stern would have stuck his head right up Bush's ass and licked it clean. Howard--

It's the opening track to an album entitled "Angels in the Flesh and Devils in the Bone". The band is Floater, out of Portland, Oregon. They are, I believe, the best thing going for modern rock and roll following the dissolution of Soundgarden and the Screaming Trees, and considering what seems to be the demise of Pearl Jam. The lyricist is, I believe, Rob Wynia, bassist and vocalist. www.floatermusic.com has a couple of mp3's from the current album (Burning Sosobra), but there's also some stuff available through Napster and other sites.

But Floater is my current favorite band, and they have been since '96; they're unstoppable in my opinion, but that's just me.

Yeah I agree with Sarge, Stern's show gets boring pretty quick. Looking at hot chicks never gets boring, but why yawn through Howard for that? It's like someone who uses curse words constantly; they quickly lose their impact and you begin to tune them out.

But the FCC is waaaay out of line. Their power needs to be curbed, the sooner the better.

I know who Howard Stern is, and I have heard the goodradio clips. I don't get him here in Canada though.
