We learned a while ago in school that if one society is cut off from all others for a long peropid of time, they begin to look alike because of the small gene pool.
But is not the whole world one big village now that transportation is as easy as it is (and it will only get easier).
So, theoretically, in ten thousand years, will we all look almost exacly the same? Just a thought. :)

What you speak of here is genetic diversity and gene pool size. If the gene pool is limited by the amount of people in the society then you run into to very little variance to keep the diversity going. It becomes homogenous and smoother, if you will. Which explains why they start to look similar and have similar weaknesses to dieases. When you look at the world for a gene base then the combinations are endless and with such you will not wind up with the same results.

I think it will take a very long time before we all start to look the same, but since people travel more and move to other countries and start families there, then we are definitely blending more. Maybe this is happening because the local genes-pools are getting clogged up and we need fresh genes to ensure the humanity from dying out? :)

Xerxes

By the time that is a problem then there will be a solution.

wet1

I guess the question is "Is there a solution needed?"

Bebelina
09-28-01, 01:17 AM
Since the "greys" are our future selves looking for fresh genes, I guess it will be a problem. But that is so far away in the future for us, so I think that if the human gene-pool will eventually grow bad, then just let it do so. Why should humanity always exist? We can become something else instead, for a change...:D

I would like that we would become like butterfly-humans, wouldn´t that be nice? With beautiful coloured wings? :p

Or what would you prefer? :)

The Future Human Being.
Yeah, yeah.
Babbling a lot again don't you all??

What future human beings????
If we go on like this, we are all climbing out of the water again in a billion years or so.
Future humans... You are crazy.
We can't live our lives now, without fighting and arguing.
What do you think???
It goes on and on like this???
Impossible!
Humans have to learn not be to fast with what they say to others.
And humans have to be careful they don't get stuck in this paranoid behavior.
For then, there is no future...
:(

There is something that can be added to this thread that Wet1 touched upon but probably didn't even realise.

Although the gene pool might seemingly be suffering from diversity, I have a few points I would like to make.

The genepool doesn't just consist of genetics caused by breeding, but that too of food chains, and also of diseases.
Everytime a carnivorous or omnivorous human eats a creature, they are intaking proteins from that animal which were previously destined for their genetic structure, these eventually work there way into that person and has caused a noticable effect through genetics.

that's why dogs, horses, fish, sheep have a genetic relationship with man (because if they don't get eaten by one, they usually tend to eat one another, although sheep usually spit dogs out because they taste funny when wet)

When a person catches a disease, the body might respond by creating antibodies, which change the genetic makeup of that individual. When that individual finds a partner and they have child between them, some of those antibodies can actually be passed on (Most noticably if the female is the one with the antibodies, because their isn't much antibody code's passed on from men.)

Of course there is a relationship here with two things, Protein of a creatures genetic structure, and protein of a virus. Two things that seem to occur is that particular genetic flaws can be passed from one type of creature to a seemingly different type of creature... For instance New variant CJD (BSE) or mad cow disease.

You do not have to wait 10,000 years. It will happen in 100 years. First, using gene therapy, everyone will want a good looking kid. The facial features will be slightly tweaked to be close to the parents, yet with a morphing feature to an ideal good look in the respective race. Then the races will lose their identities, because, good looks are irrespective of the race. The first generation will merge into their version of good look and body feature with Miss Universe as the guide line....and so on...

Ultimately, there will be some variations like eye color, hair color (by design), short or medium or tall body, but they all look fairly close like Japanese do today in the eyes of the west.

Now that the subject has come up about humans looking alike in the future, I must admit that for the past several years I have been noticing that many people look alike at the present time.
I thought maybe it was just a coincidence, but this futuristic idea might already be in the making.

could you expand on what you mean by "It has happened in Ancient Times" Banshee... tnx :)

Banshee
10-04-01, 04:30 AM
There was a big disaster which ruined the Ancient Races.
On an old pyramid wall in South America were drawings found of a big star, came falling down from out the sky.
So it could have been there was a meteor impact which caused a major flood wave and that has took a lot of lifes and land.
And Civilization.
Because this one was gone.
Items are found that proved there had been humans that had a far more better technology then we have now.
So this Civilization is of great interest for archeologists now.
Then there are the tunnels underground, also in South America.
These tunnels are gigantic. The walls and all are worked on very carefully. These tunnels go on for thousands of kilometers underground. There are great open spaces between some tunnels. In one of them is standing a very heavy table and chairs, made of steel. Behind the chairs are standing golden figures of all kind of animals, crocdiles, elephants, lyons and lizards. Between those golden animal figures, people found thousands of metal sheets, from millimeters thick. The metal is unusual and not known on Earth. They are standing all next to eachother and there is text on it , which is stil not been read, for the language is not known here on Earth.
This translation is also difficult because Ecuador doesn't want any body to try to examine it. They simply forbid it.
:)
This is what I can tell you for now.
Maybe we once know what the meaning is of all that tunnels and open spaces.
The open spaces were big enough to be a hangar for an aircraft, outerspace or not?
One thing is sure, these tunnels are thousands years old.
What was there?
All that time ago?
Wish I knew.
Wish I could go there, really.
What was there, and what happened?
I want to know.
Wishful thinking I guess.
Bye.

Please let me know, for it should be evidence that ET was here, in long lost times. In the Ancient Civilizations. And it is beginning to look like that more and more.

Hi Banshee:

I went to the timestar website. I am having difficulty understanding the language that looks like English but I can not comprehend - may be you could translate it. For example in one place it says:

"Among many applications, the pyramid system was a global energy generator. Using crystals, the pyramids served as nodes in the planetary energy grid equivalent to a main frame computer. The power source for the nodes were reflected in the word, "pyramid". "Pyre" means fire and "mid" means middle; so the word means fire in the middle. The geometric cut of the fire crystals used in Atlantis but no longer known on this planet was briefly mentioned by Cayce. An inventory of at least 27 stones removed from the Great Pyramid was reported by Zecharia Sitchin in The Wars of Gods & Men. When we chose our current path of evolution the stones that powered the pyramids were removed from the planet, according to contacts from Sirius B. The crystal skulls were left behind to remind us of who we really are but the power was in the codes of the stones. If we change our minds about how we want to live, and the time travelers believe that we will, then the stones will be returned. Of course, the planetary energy has changed considerably in 12,000 years so adjustments need to be made in the pyramid system to activate it."

If you go by standard English language, no main frame computer produces energy. The energy grid is usually a large bank of transformers that up the voltage from a few thousand volts to 33KiloVolt or higher for distribution. No one says that power is in a code. A code is a number. So I am confused....

Hi Banshee:

I read some more from the timestar site. It reminds me about an uneducated person explaining "what is electricity" to a child. Using that knowledge, no one on this planet can design a generator that will produce electricity. Such is the case with all the alleged alien encounters. I am yet to see any real knowledge with formulas, equations, specific laws, chemical compositions etc that could be used to construct a far out technological product. Therefore, I concluded that it comes from a split personality of a delusional mind.

If you find something that we can build a contraption, let me know. I will be searching....

Banshee

Kmguru, I think you misunderstand.
Timestar tells a long forgotten story from Ancient Civilizations.
There are Pyramids found in South America, Egypt, even a lot of them are found under the water.
The crystals she means can give great energy.
Crystal is an element of Nature, it is made through Nature, like diamonds.
In the earlier days, these crystals brought strong energy to the then living people. They had even a kind of transformators that worked on crystal energy.
Maybe Timestar was not the right site for you because Krsanna Duran, owner of Timestar has indeed contact with ET.

:)
You can laugh about that, she does.
Then she has made the timestar on certain calculations she made and got from looking to the planet Earth.
Her Native Calendar is quite correct.
I guess that if you are not fully open to the idea of existing from ET and people having contact with Et, you shall not understand it so well.
She predicted some earthquakes and volcano eruptions which were true.

In the end we are materialized energy, all of us.
Did you look at the other link I gave you?
What do you think of that?
I really want to know.
Please.
;)
And maybe Timestar is not the right web site for you I will give you another web site. It is rather commercial but there are a lot of items there. Do not forget to look at the links they give you at the sites, they are good, most of the time. Try this one, I have more if you want. Try this.

Timestar tells a long forgotten story from Ancient Civilizations.

I do not mind someone speculating regarding Ancient Civilizations nor anyone coming up with any outlandish theory...I do that all the time... What I object is for some one to claim that they met with this alien super being (Alien dog or cat - I do not mind...) and that the only conversation is based on philosophy (which anyone can make it up).

The whole internet is filled with a lot of data noise that is basically meaningless. If you do find some good stuff that we can use - that would be wonderful. But please let us not spend our (you and I) time deciphering noise and think that there is music somewhere hidden in the noise. We can spend our life times but will never convert noise to music or speech (though a lot of people will try...).

The crystals she means can give great energy.

Again, I am just trying to understand it. What type of energy?
Just simple Beans have energy...if you cook them and eat them...:D

Nuclear Fusion or Fission energy? Just because E=MC^2 does not makes your Ruby ring to produce tons of energy...

We need specific formulas, designs to build gadgets that can lift 50 tons of stone and move it 500 miles with very little effort. Right? My mind is wide open....there are possibilities...but we need to get down to specifics...

By the way, I saw a television program, where they said, in Amazon basin, there lived a very sophisticated culture of 20 to 30 million people. Small Pox wiped them out, leaving only the telltale signs of straight line canals and agriculture fields....

Banshee
10-07-01, 02:38 AM
Kmguru, I do not know how exactly to eplain how the Crystal Energy was used.
Maybe I was there, once, but then I forgot how they used it exactly.
;)
It is Cosmic Energy, and I do not know how they used it in Ancient Times. I read a book in which is told the Old Folks did it with their minds.
And you know, I think I can believe that.
You can do a whole lot, with your mind only.
I know it is true, I can lift things by looking at them, it is called Psychokinesis or Telekinesis.
It is not that uncommon, but I guess you know that.

In Ancient Times, people lived more close to Nature and were not so thick headed as we, humans from this time, so they could use their abilities in the most open way.
Everybody on Earth has the ability to be Psychic.
People only have to much bonds with material life and built big walls in their heads, because they are afraid some one comes to close and will find out who they really are.
People act all day, at work, at home , everywhere.
The person him/herself only, knows who he/she really is, most of the times. Often they don't even know themselves.
So how can they find back what they have lost?
That is much more important.
All is in you.
Almost all people use not all they can use in their brain.
So, people have to learn to live more close to Nature again, and start with themselves.
Learn to 'listen' to what your body tells you.
Learn to 'see' with your mind.
I guess that is what the future human has to do.
Learn to 'listen' and 'look' to all what happens in your life.
Everything has a meaning, nothing is for nothing.
People have to learn to use themselves again, in stead of using cars and other machines.
They first have to learn to 'listen' and 'look' again, to their Deeper Selves.
Then they come closer to Nature again, and maybe then, they will get back their Inner Peace, because Mind and Body have to work together in Peace and Love.
Then there are no useless wars any more.
But I guess it is all a silly daydream, for I don't see people change very soon.
Sometimes I even think, some people like this fighting and wars, really like...
One said to me: "Let they all kill eachother, I hope USA will attack very soon, fun, let the bombs drop guy's".
You believe that???
Man, what a sick world we live in.
This kind of people will never change.
So I think Earth has to be cleaned...
Then we will see who will survive, and can start over again?
Future?
I don't know...
Not like this I am afraid.
I heard off that people living in the Amazon basin, yes.
Probably on Discovery also, I do not remember where I saw it.
But I think it was Discovery, that was great, yes.
I hope no one can come there, as in tourists I mean...
It would be a shame.

I've read and remember such commonality issues with physiological yields temporally elongated, the matter of future fulfills our desire to remain different, binary in our blessed blood, the duality paradox, that shall allow us to use our aspirations and inspire new tools as we Merge into Gattica Dystopia of Orwellian proportions. Gro$$, you must have seen the film, "The Matrix", Machines need power, afterall a robot with a dead batterie is pretty much a dead robot. (Well non-functioning.)

For where humans will be in the future...

Well we are adaptive, where you mentioned:

if its too cold, too hot, too much pressure, to little pressure, too dry, too toxic... we die ...

WE can adapt, if not physically then we stem our energies into creating methods to do so with the help of tools.
(I suppose you could take this right back to the first monkey taking a stick and poking it into a termite mound to collect a really neutritional diet.)

If it's too cold, we can wrap up warm, or have small fillements placed into our clothing and powered with batteries to keep us warm, If its too hot, we have coolants being cooled and then piped around the body (they actually already use this in space suits) Too much pressure, we place ourselves inside an Cybernetic extoskeletal structure this also is the case for too little pressure.

For too dry, we can pipe or deliver supplies of water, and utilise a method to recycle the water and other liquids so that the dryness is compensated for, For too Toxic we have suits that although are clumbersome can keep the toxins out (And if radiation then a constant supply of a liquid for shower coolant will keep the radiation down.)

That's why we haven't Died, and why we won't just die.
(Unless we are swallowed by a blackhole, eaten by a sun, or we do too many silly things that pushes atomic quanta's into an unstable situation.)

Humans will always be out to better themeselves and beat their fellow man, It's apart of the whole life cycle and is what causes innovations and upgrades to occur. All those people out there trying to make a mark on society so future offsping can hear their name mentioned like that of people we have heard of in schools.
They aren't making their mark necessarily for riches, or fame, but because they think that they can add something vaild to our societies and inrich our cultures.

In the future, instead of dying, our bodies will be placed inside of machines, which will provide a blood flow to our brains and digest the rest of our body, while using the brain as the controlling device...
They will run on glucose/electricity probably, and allow us to actually survive in conditions unimaginable right now...

I once had this idea for a piece of fiction, Of course I haven't implimented it.

The idea crossed from something I had seen in a film, one of the old films about "Jason and the Argonauts" I think or "The Odessey".

Anyway it depcited the Greek God's high on Mount Olympus deciding the fate of their chosen heroes, with the use of a clay figure and a board that represented the earth (well localised to the ancient greek world)

It game me the idea for this:

In the not too distant future, science groups develop quantum computers that interlink with parallel creation and global satellite mapping. From above they view the world, and down here they sit and plot like the ancient gods.

Each group is like a differing preportion of this ancient polythesism, Their chosen heroes walk the planet and do what they do, without the other groups necessarily knowing who is who. (Only on occasion does a great hero capture the attention of the other groups)

They control the world they see with their Pandora's box, they are never too sure how the events will pan out because of microscopic changes that occur with their interaction.

Although they play such a god-like role they too have figures upon their board, like a fractal of themselves, and they too have figures for the other groups. Of course the other group has a board too that they control, and they too see their competitors as figures on a board.

The whole idea was that the world is Boxes within Boxes, because each group has "Mapped and control's" their version of "reality".

I wish I could make that make more sense :p

A half human/half machine would be VERY beneficial in war... Think about it... if the 2 or 3 controllers of lets say... a tank... take up about 2-3 cubic meters each to operate the tank. if replaced by little boxes with brains in them, a lot of the room could be eliminated, allowing for smaller and better protected tanks. The brains could come form people whos bodies died, so they wouldnt mind cuz they would be dead anyway...
If ... no ... when something like this will be made possible, one can life immortally hooked up to the world through a machine... sounds scary, but so would have riding a mashine to work at 55mph on the highway each day to anyone 200 years ago... I am wondering: would something like this be availible within our lifetime, or is this another 200 years off?

GRO$$, read the book.
I am sure you will love it.
It is good, it can be possible.
So think, maybe there are such man/machines already in experience.
A lot of things that are invented and are really important, we don't hear of. That is classified information. So nobody knows what experiments are done and what is happening really inside all those secret labs.
Even the Chupacabra is mentioned as being a failed and escaped experiment. I don't know if that is true. I read it on the Internet. It could be very well. Why not?
I am not so sure if all those rotten inventions won't become our end...
Some people want power and only power. They do everything to get power. And a lot of money of course. It is not for nothing, this sentence:

Money, so they say, is the root of all evil today...

Hey everyone!

This looks really quite interesting. I intend on checking it out later but I'm at school and time is short (so am I) so lemme get to the point.

Under free thoughts I posted the plot to a story. The thread's called "A story needs criticism." It deals with the evolution of humans technologically and physically into the future. It's scifi. Just thought you'd be interested.

Here the item is: Human Of The Future.
I do not know if we are really on topic now, but you never know what they are inventing now again.
So it stays interesting to try and find out what kind of experiments, scientists do momentarily in secret labs. In the USA, in the Netherlands, in Iraq, in Lybie and all other countries.
For it is no good I think.
What good has come to us lately?
Nothing.
For years now, there is nothing new.
They say...
I do not believe it.
There must be something, something they keep hidden for us.
Why?
And as far as the human of the future concerns...
I first have to see if we make it another 20 years or so.
Then, I will be back, to talk about the human of the future.
First wait, and see if there is a future for humans.

This is still about the human of the future...
Its about how we will be after we survive the conflicts of the future :) Lets just be optimistic and say we will, cuz if we don't, who cares? Noones going to bea round if we don't :)
Will we be the same after 1000 years? I dont think so :) Wut do you think we will be like? :)

I had a fun thought.. We as about "Humans of the Future" but we don't really know about the here and now...

For all we know we could live an existance in a world that is only made up of perception, this perception floats freely around our actually embodiment... The protozoac scum that life was supposedly evolved from...

Perhaps our true form is this slime, our understandings of a universe created by our superorganism interacting and creating flights of fantasy that others deem a reality.

While the world we percieve does what it does... our slime bubbles a little at one end to let a little trapped gas out.

Okay, I don't really believe that but it's a bit of ARMLESS fun.

Let us stay closer then 20 years.
Let us say, in 10 years, in stead of 20 years in the future.
So we have to see first how it ends with this Terrorists War.
If there is a solution for that, maybe we have a chance.
If not, we are gone in a few years.
A lot of us...

I don't know.
It is just, there are so much wars going on, so much destruction and paranoia, so much pain and hurt...
So very, very much pain and hurt...
What about that?

Why can't we, humans, live in peace, next to eachother?
At this moment I will wait with that 'human of the future'.
What future?
For who?

kmguru
10-17-01, 11:59 PM
In order to win this terrorist war, a lot of people have to collaborate and think out of the box. I do not see that is happening anytime soon. May be in another 30 years when computers take over the day to day activities, they can prevent it. The other thought is that if we genetically modify ourselves such that in one or two generations we could crete a society that is more collaborative, thinks on a higher brain functions (top, front lobes) - then that may solve the problem.

Banshee
10-18-01, 03:08 AM
As long as people behave like they do now, they will not find out about their brain, having more functions then material things, anger towards their neighbours and other humans, paranoia about other people having more money and so on. And let we do not forget the willing to fight, about everything, the most unimportant things. Things for the lower part of the brain and the people who refuse to 'see'. For I think they know, they put it away, behind the thick brick walls they built into themselves for protection. So people think, for protection, self protection, sorry.
They are afraid to show their real emotions, because they think other people can get a kind of power over them, if they 'know' who you 'are'. Really are. That is too scary for most people, so why change? This kind of living works well for them. They do not see they make themselves sick, by ignoring every emotion, and let nothing out. And they do not realize, they forget who they really are, themselves.
Maybe, one day, when more people start to 'see'. Start to realize we have to stop, now, immediately, with all this fighting and so on.
And so I can go on for hours.
Until people do really 'see', there is no human of the future...

From where I live, people are buying guns and stocking up with ammo as if some country is going to invade us. I heard the doctors and government officials saying people should not store antibiotics at home because they will use them in panick. At first I thought, they think we are stupid. Then I saw a dozen people at the Wal-Mart gun counter. Then I thought - they are probably right...

It takes just a few stupid people to mess up the planet. Under bell curve, we have probably 35% stupid people out there. Another 60% thinking with their limbic brain.

Such is life....

Banshee
10-18-01, 12:03 PM
No, no, no, that is not the way.
How can you say: "Such is life..."
Don't you see how wrong it is?
Stand up against those people and wake them up, tell them to stop because it is so useless and innocent people are going to be the victim of all those guns in the hands of people who don't know how to handle a weapon.

I am sorry, I babble again.
You can not stop this, nobody can. That is so sad about this all.
No stopping possible. How does it end? Does it end? How long is that going to take? How much people are going to die? How much people do things, they should not do, in their panic?
Where is this going to end then?
In the future.
How far in the future?
Tomorrow? Next week? Next year? In a 100 years? In 10 years?
Earlier? Later?

I wish I knew, I do not know when the humans are going to stop misabusing Earth and her inhabitants. Including humans themselves.
That is for the future to tell...
Future?

My big question is this:

How will we, as a species, end? Will we survive until the Universe ends, somehow (the theory now is that it's permanently expanding)? Will we be invaded by another alien race? Will we all genetically evolve ourselves into something that cannot reproduce? Will we all transfer our brains into computers, then will the power go out? The possibilities are endless, and mindboggling. I think it'd be cool if we wound up like the type of government in Dune. In a gigantic universe a democracy would be hard pressed to keep order and make decisions, and in dune the people live in a Feudal society.

Banshee

Maybe some of us survive...

Whatever may come down on us.
Something is happening, not for the good.
So I think Earth has had enough of us, silly killing machines.
Maybe she wipes us all away with a Tsunami or a sudden volcano in the middle of a big city. The movie is already been made, then humans survived. As always, American movies have a happy end, weird. Not true too. How can some little humans stop a very, very big and scary volcano? Silly Americans...Haha (just a joke, for the ones who take all I say to serious).

Earth is sick, humans did that. So let the humans stop with that and try to think with the 60% of whatever % it is, they do not use normally of their brain. I know that it is difficult, but not impossible...
Really, I mean it.
What future are you talking about then?
Well, I wait and see...

I hope you are right, that Earth lives, and humans too, in peace with eachother. Like in long, lost times, when everything was fine here on Earth...

I think it'll be a long, long time from now, when we can't even recognize the human of the future. They won't even call it a Homo anymore. They'll call it...something else. I have a latin-english dictionary at home, I'll flip through it and find a word for smart or really smart. But we cannot even imagine what we'll look like even a thousand years from now, much less a million.

Banshee
10-19-01, 12:14 PM
No, because in a million years there probably won't be a human any more.
Not in this way it won't...
Oh no, really not.
I wonder how and if life exists then, in a million years.

Pollux V
10-19-01, 04:45 PM
And why not? One hundred years from now, assuming we don't destroy ourselves which I think is VERY unlikely, we'll have at least one colony on mars and maybe even one on Europa with technologies that we cannot begin to imagine. If we follow the same path through time and accelerate our technologies then we'll have conquered the known universe in a million years! Once you do that it is impossible for us to die out. There is no way whatsoever, unless the universe explodes inexplicably, which would REALLY suck.

GRO$$

How about Spacial rift inversion....
Instead of our sun reaching a critical mass and need more fuel and expanding, it sucks us into it's centre at such high speed that our energy gets spouted out it's back... or should I say down here right now... Next time it's sunny realise your futures smiling on you :D

Of course all those sorts of occurances would be well to far in the future to even worry about. In fact looking at that could add a whole new twist to the subject.

I know people mention that they are concerned that we wont survive as a specie because of warring, but who's to say we will survive long enough as individuals???? Tomorrow a bus could mow you down, or you could suddenly find yourself falling through the earth to the depths of a casym below...

I really hate it when you have some personal planning person ask you, "What do you see yourself doing in five years?", My answer should be, "I don't even know what I'm going to eat tonight."

(still say my pond scum beats an energy ball :D)

What bullshit.
We, humans, will conquer Space and pollute it, the way we are used to.
And if this Planet is destroyed also by the ever friendly, never hostile, humans, we go look for another Planet, why not...

I hope all Universe explodes then!!!Pollutioners, destroyers, killers....That is what humans are nowadays.
I suggest you start to look at your own life and then be honest.
You really want these fighting, destroying humans, to colonise in Space? And go on destroying, fighting, polluting and so on?
And don't tell me again about the sun which will melt all the mess we throw into Space. Enough is enough, even in Space...

And then again, who says we are alone in this Universe? This big, big Universe. All kind of Beings can live there.

Just my little theory. If you look at history youll have to agree though :) We are much less violent than we were in the past... I am positiveI will see world peace within my lifetime... Maybe im too optimistic (people often say taht), but i consider optimism a good thing :)

Yes, slowly, ever so slowly all evil in the world is being rooted out. A thousand years ago mankind was controlled by the church and corrupt empires. Now democracies where people are the source of power are everywhere and will soon completely control the world. What comes next?

Pollution will soon not matter any more. When we spread the seed of our species across the galaxy we will never go extinct. The species of this world will be categorized and their dna will be taken so we can clone them in the future and ensure their survival as well.

I heard an interesting theory about why we were put on Earth. Humans are the first species ever that have the power to keep any species on Earth alive forever, as well as the power to take it's life away. We have the ability right now to clone a passenger pigeon or a dodo bird or a few thousand more blue whales or minky whales. Polluting is the waste of the project and will be dealt with and, hopefully erased shortly.

And we will, in time be masters of the universe.

Banshee: how about some optimism in your life? let me quote somebody that deserves to be heard:
<I><font color=red><B>Dixie Lee Ray</B></font>, marine biologist, former governor of Washington State, U.S.A., ex Chairman of the <b>U.S. Atomic Energy Commission</b>, Assistant Secretary of State in the U.S. Bureau of Oceans, awarded the <b>United Nations Peace Prize</B>, voted <b>Woman of the Year</B> in 1973 by Ladies´ Home Journal.</I>

"<b>AS WE APPROACH</B> the twenty-first century, we’re given more than ever to reflecting upon what our society is all about, what our country means, what modern civilization has achieved, and, rnost of all, what the future promises to bring ... We can expect an endless supply of problems; some people have doubts about our science, our technology, and the way we use our knowledge. We have some hopes and many fears. We must wonder a little about our age. How old are we, anyway? "

"Human society has been around a long time, but recorded history goes back only about 6,000 years. The earth has been around between four and Five billion years, and every generation of human beings that lives on it thinks its problems are the worst and that hurnankind has never faced such difficulties before. <b>Most of us believe that unless we solve our problems now, all will be lost.</B> It’s sobering to dwell upon how long humans have survived in a frequently hostile environment. We don’t have claws, talons, or fangs. We have no barbs or poison glands to protect ourselves. We don’t even have any fur or feathers to keep us warm when the ambient temperature drops; indeed, in our birthday suits, we are ill-adapted to live anywhere, except in the rather warm tropics."

"Our eyesight is not so good as that of most birds; our hearing is less keen than that of almost all of the higher animals; and our sense of smell is nothing compared to that of most fish and mammals. We can be outrun on land and outswum in the seas. Yet, with all these difficulties, we’ve made it somehow. We have managed to penetrate every ecological niche, and we are able to survive in every environmental climate and condition anywhere on earth. No other species of higher life can do so. You don’t find polar bears swimming in a tropical sea; cactus does not grow in a rain forest. Plants and animals have their own ecological and environmental niches, and they are restricted to them. What, then, are our advantages?"

"First, <font color=red><b>we have a brain</B></font> – a brain the likes of which is not seen in any other higher animal. That brain is capable of abstract thought; that brain can solve problems. We have developed a means of communication through human language that so far exceeds cornmunication among other animals as to be in a completely different category. We are learning a good deal more about animal language and animal communication, but to compare even that of the higher primates or of whales and dolphins to the language capabilities of human beings is to overlook the enormous diversity of expression, the implications and nuances of words in the thousands of languages that exist among human beings. Abstract thought and language lead to systernatized thinking, which leads to learning, the highest activity human beings engage in."

"Learning and teaching, <font color=red><b>the buildup of knowledge</B></font>, the questioning of truth, the development of philosophical systems, the practical applications of ideas – <font color=red><B>these are the things that distinguish humans from all other living things.</B></font> When we join thoughts, speech, and learning to the peculiar capability to walk on two legs – thus freeing our arms – and the development of dextrous hands, we have a physical form that is tru1y remarkable in the animal kingdom. These gifts give us the ability to rnanufacture tools and gadgets of all kinds. They give us the ability to create engines and machines that utilize non-living energy, making the already muscle power of slaves and beasts of burden unnecessary in modern society."

"It is through our technology that we have been able to fly far away from earth to learn, in truth, how precious it is. It is no coincidence that our awakening to the special nature of our world and to its uniquely balanced environment and its limitations coincided with our first glimpse of earth from outer space, through the eyes of astronauts, television cameras, and photographic equipment. It was through technology that we saw ourselves as we really are, alone on one living, precious globe in space, a human family dependent on the resources of our minds and of our home planet, Earth. Considering what we humans have accomplished, what we’ve done to build the modern high-tech society in which we live, and how we’ve swarmed across the land and changed its face – at least in the temperate region – some critics appear to be fearful that we are now about to destroy nature itself. Are they right?"

"Without doubt, humans have been hard on the environment in many discrete places. Whenever mankind has cleared land to build a city or to farm or to manufacture something, the naturalness of nature has been changed. From a longer perspective, civilizations have come and gone since antiquity. Sometimes, in areas that were once inhabited and then abandoned, nature has taken over. On a shorter time scale, it has been demonstrated again and again that areas once despoi1ed by pollutants can return to being a healthy abode for many species. True, humans can be and have been destructive, but humans also learn. The ways to live in harmony with nature while maintaining a comfortable, even high-tech, lifestyle are far better understood today. And more and more they are being practiced. There is no reason to believe that, inevitably, everything will get worse. But activist environmentalists <B>charge that man has gone beyond having an effect on the immediate vicinity of his activities and is now damaging the entire planet."</B>

<font color=red><b>Think about it.</B></font>

There is more to it, and it continues a little bit more. If somebody wants to read the rest I will gladly post it shortly for you.

I don't need your comments every where I go.
Yes, I make this as pessimistic as I can, because I want Earth to live on.

Humans will never be 'rulers of the Universe', because humans were on Earth lots of times later then animals did.
We all come crawling out the sea. And humans are not on top of the ladder.
The Whales are!!!!!
So, quote me again Edufer and I am going to make big trouble.
Not heard of freedom of speech?
I shall talk as pessimistic as I want. I try to put some sense into your thick scull, can't you see. Then you are blind.
I give up on you. Do not quote me again.
You can talk to me, normal please. I hate this quoting, I am quoted enough by another member of the forums, who seems not to can write without quoting everybody.
So I think one such quoting figure is enough.
Please, stop it.

I don't care he thinks different, he has to let me be, who I am.
It is not his to say if I am wrong or right. Because everybody has another opinion. That is good. That is how it has to be. I don't have problems with some one having another opinion, but please, don't quote me all the time and then say how wrong I am in the eyes of the ones who quote me. I am not wrong. I just have another opinion, they have to respect me as much as I have to respect them. Ok?
If everybody understands that right, then there are no problems.
By this I stop talking and stop my discussion to this thread.

This is done in the sake of clarity and speed, as a help to other people that has not been reading the latest posts, (if not, they will never know what we are referring to when we post an answer). That way the discussion is fast and smooth. Give it a try and visit <A HREF="http://www2b.abc.net.au/science/k2/stn/"><b>"Self Service Science"</B></A>, an Australian board that is a beauty. I´m sure your views will be welcomed there. Those gay Australians surely need somebody to apply a touch of gloom. But you are the first person in years to have complained for being quoted! If you don´t like to be quoted, then don´t say things that deserve to be quoted.

As an example, I´ll quote some people who like to be quoted. In fact, <b>they make their living by being quoted</B>, though their statements shouldn´t be quoted as something to be followed:
<UL>
<li><font color=blue><i>"The world has cancer, and that cancer is man"</i></font> - - - <b>Nicolás García Uriburu</b>, Argentine artist.

<li><font color=blue><I>"In case I were to be reborn, I wolud like to return under the form of a deadly virus for helping solve the population problem"</I>.</font> - - - <B>Prince Philip</B>, Duke of Edinburgh, owner of the WWF.
<li><font color=blue><i>"Hunting and fishing are crimes that will be punished with dead"</I></font> - - - <b>Ronnie Lee</b>, terrorist from the Animal Liberation Front.
<li><font color=blue><i>"The battle to feed humanity is over. In the 1970s, the world will undergo famines. Population control is the only answer."</I></font> - - - <b>Paul Ehrlich</B> in his book, <i>The Population Bomb </I>(1968), predicting widespread famine that never materialized
<li><font color=blue><i>"If the world continues with business-as-usual policies in agriculture and family planning, a food emergency within a matter of years may be inevitable. So don´t worry, I promise I will not quote you again, <b>ever</B>. I respect your whises to remain in anonymity. You will be free to keep whining and moaning your Apocalyptic lethany as long as you wish. Hope you the best of luck in your task of waking up people to the horrors of modern technologies and scientific advances that seem to be destroying Gaia, our sacred Mother Earth. Banshee: I spent three years of my life living in the Bolivian Amazon jungle (1996-97-98), but have been traveling up and down the Amazon (from Venezuela in the North to Bolivia in the south, from Per&uacute; and Ecuador to the Atlantic), from two to eight month a year, every year, since 1970. I have been in contact with nature at its worst and at its best, as many people would ever dream to be. <b>I don´t enjoy fishing,</B> but I had to do it in order to survive. I had to hunt too, eadable animals (always refused to eat worms and ants as my indian buddies did).

It all started when, as a journalist, I filmed and photographed a six month expeditio into the Amazon river, back in 1970, going downriver in a Zodiac. At the beginning I was alone (by partner couldn´t start the journey because he fell ill), then a Canadian student asked for a lift in a corner of the river. He kept me company for about 400 kms. I lived among indians, poor villagers alonside the big river, rubber seekers in the jungle, rich people in Manaus. I´ve seen them all, this beautiful species called MAN.

I wish you could understand me. How it feels to be surviving every day --and I don´t mean during expeditions, but the hard an hopeless lifes these miserably people live in the jungle. Mother Nature is not benign, believe me, she could be our worst enemy, an all species have been fighting against Her since the beginning of Times. But if you know how to treat her, she could be your best ally and an invaluable friend.

I care for people, I do care for Nature and the environment, I care for animals too, but there is a perspective you must have here. As the ancient Greeks, I do believe that <b>"Man is the Measure of things"</B>, man is the pattern against which other things must be compared. Doing otherwise would be suicidal. Putting down the human species would lead it to extinction. And that would be such a tragedy! I think the beautiful things man did through history, dwarfs the wrong and ugly ones. I think we have coped with all problems we had to face, and are dealing with the new ones as soon as they arise. We must have being doing something well, otherwise would have disappeared long ago, as Neanderthals and other less intelligent beings.

I have an optimistic nature, in spite of all the misery and grievance I have witnessed or suffered. I fight back; I´ll survive as long as I can. When there comes the time to surrender my soul to our Creator --whatever it may be, I´ll do it in peace and feeling no repent, because I never harmed anybody in purpose.

I see you work with the youth. We can learn a lot from them. And I hope you had the chance to travel and meet people of all cultures and social conditions. It might give you a new and more optimistic perspective of life. Don´t take my words as an attack on your ideas, as you are a human being free of thinking as you see fit. But I really wish that you could live a happier life, without such a gloom view about the future of mankind and the planet.

Hope to keep hearing from you. :)

Edufer, I know.
Forget it, I studied for years, I know the history of South America and all the lost treasures of the Ancient Ones. Maybe I know a lot more then you think.
You do not know me at all. This is the only thread of Sci forums where I will be the pessimist, yes.
Because it is outrageous, the way humans behave...
And then they are starting to talk about the Human Of The Future..
Ok. But I may be as pessimistic as I want here, because humans bring that up in me. Not all, Edufer, not all.
In this 'Future' thread, I am the pessimist.
Don't you know what all these pretty, nice humans did to your country? How Europeans came and took all from the Ancient Ones. Who murdered a whole race out, almost.(one Race????)
Yes I know a lot of South America and the Pyramids and the way they lived. I have to know that, because it is very important, all discoveries done there. But for me, the humans hadn't have to find these old Artefacts, because they ruin everything. Nothing is sacred in the hands of greedy humans.

People who have to know about this, will know. In their own way they will find out. It is not necessarry to ruin all what the Ancient Ones have left for us...
And I do not understand that people nowadays can't see how wrong they think. If they know about the way of living in peace with Nature, why don't they? Because they do not treat the inheritance from the Ancient Ones, well.
People better start think, in stead of fighting and killing and being jealous of all another human has, material things. And material is the most unimportant thing I ever heard of. It is not the material things you have that shows your being rich, it is having a lot less but being happy with that what you have...
If people start think this way, then I will stop being the pessimist on this one thread in Sci forums.
Have a nice day, Edufer.
Bye.;)

Wow it seems like it's been awhile since I've been here.

Banshee!! Don't send me pot! Noooo! I don't care what you say about it but I don't want any of it.

Okay, about the masters of the universe thing.
If there are no aliens in our galaxy then we have no competition. We will advance through the ages and forever, we will never stop evolving-nothing does and nothing will. You cannot measure intelligence kmuh because, at least on our planet alone we have billions of completely different types. We have insects, apes, plants (for chrissakes), you missed a lot. Not to mention humans. Humans are more different from each other than anyone could possibly imagine. I've always wanted to watch someone's life through their eyes for a single day just to see how differently they think and feel than me.

We will never stop evolving.

Banshee
10-24-01, 11:36 AM
Exactly, and those apes and insects were on this planet a lot earlier then humans were.
So what does the human kind think? He/she can rule the world? Because humans think they are the only ones with thinking brains?
I guess so. Maybe humans are wrong. And maybe humans should learn to have a little respect for Nature, for Nature will 'fight' back...

The heart of the world-the amazon.

It's being deforested.

Nature responds with diseases released elswhere. What if the Earth itself is an entity and has a soul?

Diseases are it's antibodies for IT'S disease-the human race.

Banshee

Shrike, you say it very well.
I have nothing to add to your reply. It is exactly what Earth is...
And Earth tries to stay alive, so she tries to survive by wiping away the sick 'things' on Earth. And that are humans, yes, allright!
You understand it well.
The very simple truth, you are on the right way my friend, really the right way. And deforesting the Amazon Rainforest is so wrong. But humans won't be humans if they do not have something to destroy on their own behalf.
You think very well Shrike, tell me how it goes on with you, please. I like to know. The more humans who may have ESP-abilities (some are more sensitive for ESP then others) the better.
Let me know how you are doing, please, I like to know that, to hear what is happening with you, what you think and feel and what comes true or nearly. You do that please?
You are on the right way.;)

Good job...Go on like this!

It would seem that the current gene pool is the result of only a few thousand people.

The last major volcanic erruption around 40,000 years ago destroyed most of the human race, leaving only a few thousand. I'll find the articles if anyone is interested. I posted the details in another thread some time ago but can't remember where for the moment.

Certainly as we travel more and inter-mingle more sexually then naturally we will move increasingly towards common characteristics.

However, genetic manipulation and customization may well move us in the opposite direction. Or maybe it will increase the pace if everyone chooses the same optimum characteristics.

Cris

Banshee
11-10-01, 05:38 PM
Exactly Cris, Mother Earth throws the rotten 'hearts' from her back and defends Herself if necessarry.
And that is the way it has to be, for the human race is on the way to destruction.

So the time will come Earth shall be fed up with us and She shall erase what is causing Her so much hurt and pain.
If only for the destruction of certain animals and Nature She is already very ticked off.

Things don't seem to have changed too much, but I am adhering to your advice, banshee. I was bored a few hours ago and tried to move this thing on a table in front of me just by looking at it, concentrating, and envisioning it moving away. The second I gave up I felt a huge amount of butterflies in my stomach. Is that supposed to happen? The thing didn't move.

I'd like to be able to read the minds of others with certainty, but I can listen to my feelings and be correct most of the time. It usually occurs when I'm guessing what's for dinner (heh).

Any suggestions? Is there any way I can 'level up' to something better? I have no intention of using this thing for bad, I'd just like to know if people are lying, what they're thinking about, in order to better understand them. I'd really like to look into my own future, but I find that whenever I try to do any of the things described in the above my thoughts are clouded or 'corrupted (as I refer to it)' by my own thoughts about generally anything.

Banshee
11-11-01, 10:05 AM
Shrike, you are to eager in wanting to have results so quickly.
And Psychokinesis is difficult to learn.
Try the telepathic contacts first, once that ability works well it is easier to go on with other ESP-abilities, because you know how to clear your head then..
The butterflies can be a sign yes, that something inside you is changing in the right direction.
Though looking into your own future is difficult for Psychics. They succeed most of the time better in looking into somebody elses 'future'.
Telepathic feelings you can pick up from a person you know very well, if you open up and try to look in his/her eyes and then let your energy go to that person. Most of the times you can tell rather quickly how that person feels towards you.
That is the easiest part of it.
To really read what is on this persons mind, is much more difficult, it really needs time and practise.
Try every day to relax (meditate), clear your head and think of wanting to contact one particular person. Best is someone close to you because he/she knows you well and shall be more able to feel you. It is really a good way to tell that person you will try to contact him/her during a day you choose and then, at the end of the day, you ask if the person has had a particular feeling or image of you. A clear feelng or image, he/she really had to think of you at once...You understand what I mean?
Sometimes it is difficult to explain.
But it takes time Shrike, it won't come to you in a forthnight.
As I hear you speak of the butterfly feeling, I think you are certainly making progress here.
Stay on this way, you are heading in the right direction.
But be careful not to be to eager, for it will block you then.
Stay calm and patient, try to practise every day, you are doing fine and you are going rather quick I must say.
So you see, you think it takes so long, but it is not so.
All things you told me are going quite fast with you, believe me.
Stay on this way and do not force yourself, it will come to you, sooner then you think.
Please be patient and careful, it will work out for you, but it doesn't come that sudden.
If you want to know something, you can always contact me. Ok?
Please do that, you are heading straight to what you want, but it really needs its time.
I hope I have been of any use to you with this reply. If not and you want to know more or so, then contact me please.
I will help you as much as I can, but one thing at a time and the telepathic ability is the easiest way I can think of to begin with.
If that goes well, you automatically can go on trying other ESP-abilities. Because then you are opened up well enough and other abilities can come more faster to you.
Hope I could help you with this reply.
:) ;)

You know, you get cancer when your good cells have their own agenda and want to live forever. Did the late Asimov explained which specis is the good cells? It is more likely, he meant, some of us are cancers and others are good cells...living in harmony with nature...hmmm...

Maybe you better live in harmony with Nature.
In the last 10 years brain diseases have become more common.
There are more autistic baby's born and the mad cow disease was not only with the cows but also amongst Elks.
Humans think mad cow disease was coming from the food they gave the cows, but Elks don't eat that food and even though there were a lot of Elks who died at mad cow disease in the wild.
Cancer is becoming a common disease and so there are more diseases around which doesn't really belong here.

A sign the Earth is fed up. The ecosphere is badly damaged and Earth is too polluted and there are to much destructive wars going on. It gets worse and worse.

The message I have to pass, against my will, is that the human race within 40 years will be erased for 2/3 of the worlds population by an enormous Natural disaster.
Only the ones who nurture Earth and Nature will remain.
I post this message because it came to me and a lot of others like me and we were told to pass this through to as many humans as we can reach.
So by the possibility to be called stir crazy, I give you the message for in this I have no choice.
I never post 'things' that come to me in a different way then they come to you. Is there anybody else here who got this message too? One way or another.
It would sure make me feel better, for I am not a fool and sure not crazy.
But it makes me feel real uneasy to post this. I like to be here and don't want to be the laugh at Sciforums.

I passed the message through to you and hope you will take good notice of it, for the Timekeepers have already decided that the human race has damaged Earth, Nature and the ecosphere to badly.

So have your good laugh, I did my job. In this I had no choice.

This is the end of my message. I will not get back at it.

Pollux V

Shrike, I will send you a PM yes.
I don't go into this message any further on Sciforums.
I was told to pass the message to as many humans I could reach, that is the only reason why I posted it at Sciforums, for there are so many humans here, from all over the world.
So it was the good place to post it.

Taking the risk that everybody here will have a good laugh and think I am a fool or like MR. G. says that I am living in the past.
Crazy, because this is about the future.
The very near future.

And that is it, end of talking about the message at Sciforums.

Hello, Banshee! Where did you get the tip that mankind will be wiped by 2/3 in 40 years from now? Maybe from the same people that made Paul Ehrlich predict that a huge famine was going to kill more than half the Earth´s population (back in 1968) when he said in his book "The Population Bomb" that the United States would reduce its population to less than 150 million in ten years.

He said "The fight against starvation is lost". It seems that he didn´t know about Borlaug's Green Revolution, the advances in biotechnology, genetically modified crops, decreasing costs in new technologies that made natural resources more available to human beings (especially in developing and poor countries).

Those 40 years prophesized surely are a guarantee that most of us won´t be here to see if it came true. Try to make a more shorter term prediction that could be really useful.

kmguru
11-19-01, 11:09 AM
Back in 1968, Information Technology was in its infancy. The then predictions were based on available information and linear projection of that information. While we now know the capability of Information Tachnology, we still tend to predict in linear terms, since humans have a difficulty visualizing new technology and advanced in science or changes in society.

The result is no one knows where we are headed ....we hope only in a good direction with the new world order....

Banshee
11-19-01, 02:40 PM
Edufer, I don't even know about those prediction in 1968, I am sorry.

But it will happen within 40 years, not 40 years from now.

And this has nothing to do with iformation out of a book or the Internet.:)

But I have to tell you there are a lot of young humans coming up with the right vision and that gives a lot of hope for the future.
And a few of them are members at Sciforums.

So you see, it is not all bad what what the future brings, it is just the way you handle towards other humans and Earth and Her Nature and its inhabitants.

Handle from within, from your Inner feelings and you have a better balance and understanding with other humans and the rest of the Cosmos.

About the message, as I said before, the subject is closed. I was only asked to pass this message for it is a major warning.
Never ever do I post messages, only this one, because I was asked to do so, as a lot of others among us. For you to decide what you do with it....
That is all.

And, really, I don't have it from the Internet or some predictions made by scientists, for I never listen to them any way or any how.
All theories they gave you, no proof.

Well, I can't give you proof either, but I know where I got my messages from and that are no theories, not at all.
But you can think whatever you want.
I can't care less.
:p :p :p

The human race shouldn't think so much, better listen first some more careful to themselves and act from out there.
It certainly would make a difference in the behaviour towards one another.
Think about that...with your books and theories.
;)
I studied too at the University, for years, and I know my lessons very well, I am not some kind of fool, but you are free to think of me that way.
Have fun...

And have a nice day.

Hey, I like the concept of the liquid man. Totally indestructible, change form to become male or female or a statue...cool...

Just one major meteor strike will wipe out a large percent of our population. We need to move to a virtual world inside a computer underground with ability to morph back to physical form where the danger is over...let us work on that.

Banshee
12-26-01, 04:37 PM
Yeah...lets dig holes underground, like rabbits, and crawl away in there. :) Perhaps the scientists can make that virtual computer world in there. Let us all become artificial 'liquid' figures.;)

Could it be MARS? And we are kissing cousins from eons ago and that they want to run reproductive experiments on earth women to merge the two specis back? :D

Banshee
12-27-01, 12:21 PM
Yeeeeaaaahhhh...those Grey's have to be watched, they sneak in and 'abduct' all those Earthly women. Then inject them with Grey sperm and try to take over Earth, because Mars is getting to cold for them.:p Especially underground there. Now they want to come live here on Earth, so they mingle here and there with Earth women to 'create' lungs for their little Grey children. Horror oh horror...:D

Humans won't become immortal.

I have to disagree...
As Light Beings we will be "immortal" someday.
As the energetics vibrations of Mother Earth become more subtle, we will become more aware of our true Nature, of what we truly are. We will discover that we are made by Light, we are made by Love.

We will also understand Nature much better. We will be able to communicate in different manners and use more advanced technology, through other dimensions.

We will literally be in the Heavens for 1000 years, after all this mess we live in today go away. Death will become History, we will become immortals, as Spirits. God will live among us.

We will be fully connected with Mother Nature. Our relationship will improve astronomically. Peace will reign for a thousand years.
We will live among Love. Love will be in Terra. Love will BE Her (She is Love, but then, we will perceive it ;))

As the energies of our Mother become more subtle, what it's already happening, we start to awaken from our looooong sleep. we won't be sepatated from the Universe anymore. We will be the Universe and find friends outside there.

We will truly be the Children of Love... :)

Your Inner Self is immortal. This doesn't say that the human race is immortal. Only if there comes a total change in attitude and behaviour toward one another and Earth, there'll be a chance.

I admit that there are a lot of humans becoming aware of the situation which is going on in our civilization. So, let's join in and awaken humanity.

They will be erratic in their moods, have little strength of character and be very short-lived. Indeed, not purified by any vedic ritutuals and lacking in the practice of regulative principles, they will be completely covered by the modes of passion and ignorance.

The citiziens governed by these low-class rulers will imitate the character, behavior and speech of their rulers. Harassed by their leaders and by each other, they will all suffer ruination.

Religion, truthfulness, cleanliness, tolerance, mercy, duration of life, the physical strength and memory will all diminish day by day because of the powerful influence of the age of Kali.

In Kali-yuga, wealth alone will be considered the sign of man's good birth, proper behaviour and fine qualities. And law and justice will be applied only on the basis of one's power.

Men and women will live together merely because of superficial attracation, and success in business will depend on deceit. Womanliness and manliness will be judged according to one's expertise in sex.................

By the time the age of Kali ends, the bodies of all creatures will be greatly reduced in size, and religious principles of followers of varnashrama will be ruined. The path of the vedas will be completely forgotten in human society, and so-called religion will be mostly atheistic. The government will mostly be thieves, the occupations of men will be stealing, lying and needless violence, and all the social classes will be reduced to the lowest level of sudras.
Cows will be like goats, spliritual hermitages will be no different from mundane houses, and family ties will extend no further that the immediate bonds of marriage. Most plants and herbs will be tiny, and all trees will appear like dwarf trees. Clouds will be full of lightning, homes will devoid of piety, and all human beings will hve become like asses. Long time ago, I read about how long each Yuga lasts and the whole cycle of the Universe. I can not remember now. May be someone will publish it in the internet.

The duration of the Satya millennium equals 4,800 years of the demigods; the duratioin of the Treta millennium equals 3,600 years of the demigods; the duration of the Dwapara millennium equals 2,400 years; and that of the Kali millennium is 1,200 years of demigods.

As aforementioned, one year of the demigods is equal to 360 years of the human beings, The duration of the Satya-yuga is therefore: 4,800 x 360, or 1,728,000 years.
The duration of the Treta-yuga is-------------------- 3,600 x 360, or 1,296,000 years.
The duration of the Dwapara- yuga is------ 2,400 x 360, or 864,000 years.
The duration of the Kali- yuga is------------- 1,200 x 360, or 432,000 years.

The above is the duration of the great milleniums.

The duratiion of life of a Manu comprises seventy-one sets of four millenniums, as described in the Visnu Purana. The duration of life of one Manu is about 852,000 years in the calculation of the demigods, or, in the calculation of human beings, 306,720,000 years.

After the dissolution of each and every Manu, the next Manu comes in order, along with his descendants, who rule over the different planets; but the seven famous sages, and demigods like Indra and their followers, such as the Gandharvas, all appear simultaneously with Manu.

There are 14 Manus in each day of Brahma, Brahmas day is calculated at 4 billion 320 million earth years, Brahma lives for 100 years.

Rough guide there KM, it perfectly explained in the Srimad Bhagavatam.

The future human will be brown as the mouths of rivers.

We're losing distinctiveness.

Hi dear user of this link, I wanna tell you that the whole world is now becoming a global village and inter related to one part to other, one corner to other, the only the condition of being separation is the world war,
