Iran launches book to back Holocaust denial stance

Tehran, Iran, Mar. 01 – A government agency in Iran has launched a new book that sets out to prove the official position that the Holocaust was a “myth” and a “historical lie” that was concocted to justify the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine.

“The Place of Holocaust in the Zionist Project – Fact or Myth?” is the name of the new book published by the Islamic Revolution’s Documents Centre, a government agency headed by hard-line cleric Ruhollah Hosseinian. It is written by a little known author called Seyyed Mehdi Tarahi.

In its Wednesday edition, the hard-line daily Kayhan, which reflects the views of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, gave prominence to the new book, the latest in some 300 anti-Semitic books in Persian that adorn Tehran’s bookshops.

The daily quoted several passages from the book’s introduction, including this one: “When at the end of the Second World War, the world saw macabre scenes of prisoners of war camps with heaps of corpses of POWs who had died of typhoid, Zionist circles began to spread rumours that the Jews had been exterminated by Nazis using special weapons called gas chambers. Thus a new phenomenon called the Holocaust, or the massacre of the Jews, came into being”.

Proof? What proof? Where can I get this book and what kind of "proof" does it contain? If it's just Muslim propaganda to fuel the never-ending conflict against the Israeli's than please, spare me.

Happeh can you & other muslims comprehend this world war 2 happened in the 1940's, not centuries ago, there are tens of thousand of survivors still alive who can testify to the Holocaust, there are gas chambers standing today in germany as monuments to nazi evil.

If you are other muslims wish to claim something did not happen, why not try going further in our history, & not recent history when you all can be proven to be bare faced liars.

This is always interesting, this "double denial". First the cry: "well, not all muslims think that" followed immediately up by the comment "if it happened", and topped up by "well, why does everyone hate them so much", which actually translates as: "what did they do.

Yeah next they will be saying world war 2 never happened, it was just a lie, i find it comical that most muslims will deny the holocaust even though the german government does not, who knows more on it than the germans, british & american troops also seen the gas chambers, german soldiers testified to them, they lie as monuments to the evils of nazis in germany today.

And all the nazi footage of jewish deathcamps was what made by mossad, the whole world accepts the holocaust, only people who hate jews do not.

This is all aimed at insulting jews, this holocaust denial crap, yet the funny thing is when we insult them with cartoons they kill & riot for months.

I guess it just goes to show the difference between the 2 faiths, jews can handle insults without going on a murder spree for months, where as when muslims are insulted embassies are burned worldwide & people are killed almost daily over it.

So it is really not hard to see which religon is of a peaceful manner, & which one is ready to murder over anything even as stupid as a cartoon.

Why not ask your Muslim bretheren? Jews have been persecuted throughout time, mainly by Christians and Muslims. Perhaps people are jealous because they call themselves the chosen people? Who knows, but you should be asking the very people who are spreading this propaganda about the holocaust.

I would say the jews have been more persucted by the christians then the muslims throughout history... in my somewhat humble opnion
