That could be some kind of mental disorder, but I cannot stand any aspect of the modern life. NONE. Work place, entertainment, politics, government, medicine, talking heads, mass cult, relationships (not necessarily romantic), media, TV, food, box shops, shop chains, ads, growing like mushrooms BS industries and useless products they generate, general meaningless of everything, liberal, cons, democrats, pampered lefties knowing nothing about the real life, dull uniformity of everything (and everybody) around, you name it ..... suck ARSE. Few innocent words like "life style", "product", "consumer", "portofolio", "stock", "choices"..... cause automatic vomiting reflex. Is this all to the human "progress" or humanity is going to "climb" few steps more?

Best possible response I can offer is to look at patterns. Humans learn, and humanity as a body social learns. I tend to regard modern life as an unfortunate phase humanity apparently must go through. The only real question is whether any one phase is disruptive enough to destroy the species. Beyond that, if it's not this way, it will be another, and given the nature of people's ambitions for society, things could actually get much worse. Prescription: a steady diet of marijuana occasionally supplemented with psilocybin and a soundtrack including Pink Floyd, The Flaming Lips, Floater, Radiohead, and The Rheostatics. Watch art films and zoological documentaries; learn to view humanity as an exhibit for study in a zoo.

Won't change the fact that it's all crap. But it will make the crap seem more interesting and less stinky.

I mean, come on ... it's not that there's not enough bud in the world, but so much crap. Given time and serious effort, we could bury the stink beneath the glorious, pungent aromas fine, kind herb.

I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused. Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used. Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise. If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this maze? Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending that everyone's expendable and no-one has a real friend. And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner. And everythings done under the sun, and you believe at heart, everyone's a killer. (Pink Floyd, "Dogs (http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/pinkfloyd/dogs.html)")

__________

Tell everybody waitin' for Superman that they should try to hold on the best they can. He hasn't dropped them, forgot them, or anything; it's just too heavy for Superman to lift. (The Flaming Lips, "Waitin' for a Superman (http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/Waitin'-for-a-Superman-lyrics-The-Flaming-Lips/56982AB1C4FD754648256C14001ECF1D)")

__________

All you tortured and strange, before we begin, just open your minds so we all can climb in. Sell your souls for a dime. Don't try to fight. You'll never be strong, but you'll always be mine. Yeah you’ll always be mine.

So you're cock of the walk? A heart like a balloon and it's getting bigger. Still when there comes that knock upon your front door, when you dance across the floor you'll know one thing for sure.

You know they won't see nothin'. You know they won't see nothin'. You know they won't see nothin'. You know they won't see you. Oh, they won’t see you. While you're working to earn just one slice, I'll give you this kindly advice:

They'll forget your name at half price.

You're just a ghost in the making. (Floater, "Ghost in the Making (http://floatermusic.net/lyrics/lyrics-stonebystone.htm#ghost)")

__________

Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon. Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon. Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon. Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon.

Everything ... Everything ... Everything ... Everything in its right place. In its right place. In its right place. Right place. (Radiohead, "Everything in its Right Place (http://www.greenplastic.com/lyrics/everythinginits.php)")

__________

Sick sense of melody is what I hear when I'm alone. And I love it more than misery, and I love it more than home. And I cry 'cause I'm not with it, even though I've never been ... Where the dope fiends laugh, and say it's too soon; they all go home and listen to The Dark Side of the Moon. (The Rheostatics, "Dope Fiends and Boozehounds (http://www.rustyspell.com/rheos/whalelyrics.html)")

Somewhere in there is a pony. I mean hope. Somewhere in there is hope.

Let us know if you figure anything out along the way.

Its not that everything is crap, its you yourself that is crap. There is crap within you, yourself, so you see everything as crap, but in reality, the only crap that exists is your own self.

So the short answer is its only just you, you are crap.

I tend to regard modern life as an unfortunate phase humanity apparently must go through. You know, on second thought, every phase is a modern one and I can imagine every one being just as crappy. What is it about the human chain that turns everything into something tedious? I think Christianity contaminated the ancient spirit of raw joy and accomplishment. Instead now modern man has rediscovered it but via consumerism and prestige.

Be glad you don't live in medieval Europe or on a slave ship or in Haiti or Afghanistan or a in a cancer ward or south central L.A. Could be better of course but it could also be alot worse.

I feel exactly the same a lot of the time. To me, it is like the genuinity of humanity has been replaced by cardboard cutouts. Anyone smart can see that its not the real deal, but hey, they were well drawn and look 3d. I recommend taking a group of friends and going backpacking. I mean like a good 2-4 weeks, and no wussy shit either, climb hard, don't bother with overly fancy equipment. Then when you get back, everything will seem even crappier, so listen to some good music and watch some independant movie, buy some local food, and yeah. Then just try to avoid media saturation while getting on with life, you know? Thats what I did last summer, and it was awesome.

At a certain level -- where power, real power resides -- people, collectively, are viewed as a blurry animated thing. And in a sense, that's what it is: individual rights? peanuts.

You haven't been exposed to all the life there is. Go try living in different purpose and perspectives of a culture...other than english based.

other than that eat ur vitamins and nutrients daily...do exercise to feel good.

thats why people die...because life becomes boring. So that when the body dies...the mind dies...and the soul transcends into a new body in a new life. Its like changing a character in a game....or a game itself.

Draqon, you remember what you were thinking when you came out of your mother's womb?

unfortunately I remember knowing myself or remembering myself only when I was 2 years old. I was sitting in a bus staring through a window at a theater the bus was passing...so I imagined what was going on in the theater and than thought of myself in it...and thats when I realized myself and from than on remember everything.

Before that moment...the only thing I remember is crawling on a hill surrounded by tall grass and lots of ants. and there is a river flowing calmly below the hill and my parents kayaking nearby. :) as for the womb...nope...don't remember it at all.

Ok, so if all the people are coming back in new bodies, where did the new souls come from to grow the population from millions in ancient times to billions today?

umm...I actually think that there is only one soul and that we are all interchanging in life...except its more complex than that. Maybe thats what people seem to take for God...that unity they feel...what it really is, is unity of souls. So in essence I am speaking to you...and you are me in sometime in somewhere.

If this is hard to digest...well only this makes sense to me. otherwise we are all separate souls and that would mean we have nothing in common.
Its really a tough question. So far I lived 20 years and it will take a life for me to find out the truth to life.
