Okay, everyone knows about the lightsaber and the Sith double-sided lightsaber, but why not create a cooler weapon like a lightscythe or a lightdagger? Give any suggestions on a light- type weapon for the Star Wars series.

Light-spear. Think of the range and the techniques you could use with it! Like a naginata! (See picture below to find out what I'm talking about.:D )

Handles are a problem. I was thinking of braces. It straps on the arms, and goes from about halfway from the elbow to about a foot beyond the hand. You could put a pressure sensitive power switch against the skin, contracting certain muscles would activate it.

Sounds good. It could have a sensor that detected your body's magnetic field and turn itself off when it came back. :cool:

I always thought it would be cool to see a Jedi with two sabers instead of one. Not like Darth Maul's, but two seperate blades held in each hand.

Anakin did use two light sabres towards the end of SW:Ep2 to fight Count Dooku, didn't make much of a difference though his ass got whooped :D

I fail to see teh benefit of a 1 foot blade, unless you want a very cool pocket knife.

In Phantasy Star Online, they have photon swords, glaives, etc. It's pretty neat.

Swinging one of those around would be awesome.

A mace would look cool, as would any spear or polearm. However, remember that the effective portion is not metal, it is light (somehow). So a mace or axe would not work, it doesn't have the mace up the end required to function as it should. You might as well use the standard lightsabre. With a spear or polearm type weapon, you have a short effective area up the end of a long pole, which could easily be cut by another such weapon.
