I have a question concerning the boost converter small signals model (Ldi/dt, Cdvc/dt). Why this modelling approache describe perfectly the dynmics of the output voltage arround a given operating point and falls, in the same time, to describe the inductor current ?

Hello,
I have very recently started using Multisim and am not used to it.I need to carry out certain power electronics simulations in multisim and am not able to find components such as thyristor or igbt for that purpose.
Does multisim support power electronic devices?
Could anyone help me out in this regard?
And is there any other good simulation tool particularly for power electronics?

Multisim does have thyristors and it does support simulation of power electronic circuits

however, the extended database comes at a price

it is available in the powerpro edition and probably in the professional edition though not in the educational one
