Although the series is shot in a documentary style and presented as if it were real, it is entirely fiction. The series never states that its footage is real, only that it has been "inspired by the possibility that hidden creatures exist." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Tapes sifreak21 04-14-11, 12:14 PM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Tapes sigh.. dyw i know these are all reinactments.. which are based off of real things i wonder what real things they are based off of Dywyddyr 04-14-11, 12:33 PM sigh.. dyw i know these are all reinactments.. which are based off of real things i wonder what real things they are based off of "inspired by the possibility that hidden creatures exist." In other words they've used folk tales and legends. They're only based on "real" things if you actually believe that chupacabra etc exist. sifreak21 04-14-11, 12:39 PM In other words they've used folk tales and legends. They're only based on "real" things if you actually believe that chupacabra etc exist. no that is false dyw.. you dont have to believe in a folk tale to be based on real events.. weather you believe it or not un explained things happen where there is no logical explination and its these events that i believe in.. as i have experienced such thing not like bigfoot nor did i hear see anything i heard something and even today "this was 7 years ago" it still terries me. does that mean i believe in bigfoot? no it means something that i cannot explain happend to me and i would love to know what actually happened.. perfect expample. architeuthis was folk lore untill it was actually taped alive in 2001. humans are so ignorant to the unknown its actually funny. Dywyddyr 04-14-11, 12:45 PM Got you. When you said "real things" you meant the actual events that led to the supposition of these creatures, as opposed to thinking there's any reality to the creature that "arose from" the events. The annoying thing is that a great many of the "hidden creatures" have origins in stories from so long ago we probably won't ever find out what kick-started the stories, or get enough detail to make valid estimates if we do. architeuthis was folk lore untill it was actually taped alive in 2001 And that's been outdone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossal_Squid :D sifreak21 04-14-11, 12:47 PM Got you. I look forward to the Lock Ness Monster being discovered hiding under a big rock. sifreak21 04-14-11, 12:59 PM thats one animal i wouldnt ever want to have a run in with.. did u see the 3 inch claws inside there suckers Me-Ki-Gal 04-14-11, 01:08 PM In other words they've used folk tales and legends. They're only based on "real" things if you actually believe that chupacabra etc exist. you might be surprised . folk tales can have root origins. like Egil the archer spawned many tales of similar fashion , augmented more and more as the tales pass down . I think that is how the events transform into super natural events . Augment + . You know there is something special about the #5 chord in music. The flat 5 too . Dywyddyr 04-14-11, 01:35 PM you might be surprised . folk tales can have root origins. Er, isn't that more or less what I said? You know there is something special about the #5 chord in music. The flat 5 too . Right. Me-Ki-Gal 04-14-11, 01:45 PM Er, isn't that more or less what I said? Right. Ahhh Yeah!! |
