What benefit does god get from hiding himself? I know the lord works in mysterious ways, but honestly it seems a lot of the time he's just being a dick.
You know how you just get a sense of someone by their actions and ideas and etc whether or not you're a better person than them? You're like "that guy's a dick" or "that guy's pretty cool", the former are lesser specimens of man than you and the latter are equal or better?
Well, I gather from god that he's dumber and lamer than me, that's my problem. Even if he was real I wouldn't worship him, he just doesn't strike me as a very intelligent or charismatic entity. I mean from his rules and views and everything he used to do when he was out in the public eye back in the early days, he seems like a dickhead, a bit of an anti-social nerd. He sort of embarrasses himself and then gets all defensive and huffy. His flaws are way too apparent and significant. I mean I know he says he's perfect and allknowing etc, but that in itself is a flaw. Toot your own horn much? He shouldn't have to do that. I know human beings that are above that sort of behaviour.
If me and my mates were at a bar with god he would stand out as the loser of the group. That shouldn't be right, he's god, but he would.
Is he an idiot savante? That would make sense actually, he can focus and create the universe in 7 days, but then he's awkward and lame and somewhat retarded in every other aspect of existence.

I might suggest you warn everyone that they can no longer find fault in religions or religion in general, but honestly no, don't worry about it.

For what it's worth I really did think it was a mistake those posts were deleted, but if it wasn't then the simple fact is- sciforums is no place for Dr Lou Natic. At the end of the day whatever ideals I have about what sciforums should be are irrelevant, it is what it is, and it just so happens that it couldn't be further away from what I want.
And that's actually no one's fault. I guess I'm somewhat at fault for mistaking it for something else, but it was an honest mistake, sorry!

Aside from the fact that Rabbis fucking through a hole in a sheet is an urban legend (one that even many Jews believe) I think he made some pretty good points, too.
