I just came across an article on Featherless Chickens (http://www.thisislondon.com/dynamic/news/story.html?in_review_id=590366&in_review_text_id=558671) and found it pretty cool. (Small correction - it was developed not at the "Rehovot Institute", but rather at the Weitzman Institute in Rehovot, one of the world's leading biotech research facilities. Interestingly, it's the same place that invented the seedless watermelon.)

I think there is also potential for a side-market – a naked chicken is absurd enough that it would make a pretty cool pet, even though I hate chickens. A little leather jacket on one would make for the ultimate pet for punk rockers.
