Just an odd story out of Arizona:

While there, the teacher, chaperones and kids were told that they would have an opportunity to take a photograph with an elected official. This happens often at the Legislature and this time it was Weiers who dutifully answered the call . . . .

. . . . "It was the frustration of the day," he told me. Instead of "cheese," Weiers instructed the children to say in unison, "All-day kindergarten stinks." Then, according to adults in attendance, he spotted Gov. Janet Napolitano passing nearby and led the children in a chorus of Janet Napolitano "stinks." Or words to that effect . . . .

. . . . "As for the public," he said, "I haven't had any phone calls. Nothing."

He added, "Only the mute and the dead don't say things that they later regret. This was one of those times. You think at the time that you're just having fun, but you also see how some might be upset." (Arizona Republic)Ahhh ... politics. Good times, good times, good times.
