I've recently discovered the wonderful game of Pool...i am sure that there are avid pool players on this site. You see in my school there is a little room that many don't know about and many do but don't care to go there and in that little room lies three official size pool tables. After a friend introduced me to this wonderful little room i fell in love with pool. I have improved vastly compared to how i use to play as a beginner but i still suck though when it comes to average Joe pool player standard. Just wondering if there are any pool players out there. Post anything related to pool...i.e experiences, likes/dislikes of the game, playing tips etc etc etc...you get the jist of it right;)

I like pool, recently i've been going to play pool about a night a week, usually me and my comrade Ed after we both get done at our respective jobs. I really like it, it's a pretty relaxing, non intense game..it can be intense but it's really..chilling. I like it

I agree it is a very relaxing game though it can work your nerves when a certain ball just won't go in. If you forget the negative aspects of it , it is quite a challenging game and very much fun if given enough time to develop some what of little required skill to play it.

Oh yes, wow, ever watch it on TV? I watched this session of trick shots on tv, they do some CRAZY stuff, it's awesome, i'm envious..

Pool champ here...

Back when I cared to compete, I won some local tournaments and
stopped playing for almost 3 months; now I only play with friends.
I love 9-ball, but 8-ball is my old fav...

Pool is great ;-)

pool is good. i prefer snooker though. i fell in love with snooker when i was 11 or something. i feel it's better than pool. i've won a few tournaments....snooker is king.:D

not a champion, but i do love the game. although i went through a while when i had first gotten glasses that i couldn't even hit the cue it seemed. as it turns out, my eyes see things at an angle that isn't there.. wearing glasses corrects that angle. so now i always make sure i take my glasses off to play, but to line it up, i have to look between the ball im aiming for and the pocket, and use just my perifreal (sp) vision to play. lol.

Unfortunately the only pool hall (if you'd call it that) worth going to by here closed down (lease ran out).. so i havn't played in quite a while.

I love the game too sarge and I was a half decent player until someone suggested I put side on the white ball. Since then my game has deteriorated so my advice to you is hit the white dead centre, play your own shot and don't listen to the gallery.

I don't understand what you mean?????

I have to learn how to cut the ball better. Although i can cut the ball a lot better than when i first started but i still have ways to go in getting it right. I have seen guys do it and it is amazing once you get the hang of it. Also learning how to jump the ball is beneficial in a crowded spot:cool:

When you put side on the cue ball it should, in theory, go where you want it to but unless you understand angles it won't work. Better to hit the cue ball dead centre.
