My post correcting the grammar and punctuation of the OP in the "The Only Thing Worth Discussing" thread in philosophy was removed. This was directly related to the selfrighteous nature of the OP. There was no cursing or calling of names. Simple grammer corrections. What gives?

Philosophy. The study of...stuff and things, how we relate to it, what's it all about, the meaning of life, ect. Don't curse excessively no matter how good it feels, and let me know of any improvements you would like to see here.

Not deleting posts with ironic content that is directly related to the topic.

Wrong. I have one for inappropriate language. And it's not about posterity. My style involves using irony, humor, and sarcasm as well as reasoned arguements (as you well know). There was ZERO offensive in my post. Why bother writing a post if it can be summarily deleted? Let us all become like the air-hockey robot. I hear and obey...

Yes this is correct. All deleted posts can be viewed by moderators.

So, Dragon. Just to let you know, you do not need to quote offensive posts as proof that it happened. We can see them. However, if they are deleted it's likely the original poster realized his/her mistake and took care of it themselves.

Nah. Only the super mods and the admins have the power to ban. It's done this way for a few reasons.

1) You cannot trust regular mods to ban people. Some might get a bit trigger happy.

2) It places all the heat on a select few. James R does most of the banning, which is why you see so many "I hate James R" threads.
