An RAF doctor was today jailed for eight months after being found guilty of failing to comply with lawful orders when he refused to serve in Iraq.
Flight Lieutenant Malcolm Kendall-Smith - who likened the invasion of Iraq to a Nazi war crime - was convicted on five charges, including refusing to serve in Basra, by a court martial panel of five RAF officers. He will also be dismissed from the service.

Well, that conviction by a panel of officers who are complicit in that war crime, that ought to be good enough to convince everyone that the war effort is right and Kendall-Smith is wrong.

But they might have weapons of mass destruction! Yeah, and my beat-up Honda Civic might be a Lamborghini.

Is the judge-advocate even aware of the Nuremberg precedents? I guess they were just part of a whitewash.

It's funny how a military order to shoot a toddler is illegal, but an order to bomb lots of toddlers for profit is legal. Maybe the RAF doctor didn't see the humor. Granted, ideally he should have realized that before he signed up, but I can't blame him for coming to his senses after the fact.
