View Full Version : Sarah Palin's New Book "Going Rogue"
Palin just finished her memoir which will be released Nov. 17. The 400-page book will be a must-read on the list of every liberal, I'm sure. They seem to be fascinated by her.

quadraphonics 09-29-09, 12:22 PM Is it a coloring book?
CutsieMarie89 09-29-09, 12:39 PM Not really all that interested in Sarah Palin's life, so I already know I won't read it. I never read memoirs. (Except that one time in Borders, when I was bored and I read some of Louis Black's book)
However I must say a 400 page coloring book would be awesome, I'd definitely would buy that.
spidergoat 09-29-09, 12:39 PM Her memoir? She didn't even finish her term as governor! I think you gotta actually do something before you can cash in on a book.
(See my photo gallery for some awkward pics of her posing with the American flag.)
Syzygys 09-29-09, 01:02 PM I hope it is full of half-naked pictures of her. Why do I have to zip down anytime she comes on the news? lucky she didn't get elected otherwise I would have been worn out...

i dont know whay anyone here would think that a governor would be\could be dumber than they are.
Her memoir? She didn't even finish her term as governor! I think you gotta actually do something before you can cash in on a book.
She didn't have to finish her term. She has great stories. The campaign alone could be a book.
As the link in the OP says, someone helped her write it--ghostwriter Lynn Vincent. There are already 1.5 million copies going to print. You betcha it's gonna be big. :)
The question is who will buy more? Palin-lovers or Palin-haters?
i loved the catie courik interview. catie thought she was so smart.........

I am sure she will inspire aspiring quitters everywhere.
The majority of Palin lovers are illiterate.
few people are actually illiterate
I am sure she will inspire aspiring quitters everywhere.
quitting is better than getting fired.
Ganymede 09-29-09, 06:33 PM Let me guess, she has a multitude of ideas that will definitely fix America, nevermind the fact that they didn't work in Alaska. The only reason she was popular in Alaska is because she redistributed the wealth of the energy companies back to the people. Which is pure unadulterated communism if anyone besides her dares to do it.
spidergoat 09-29-09, 06:40 PM quitting is better than getting fired.
Was that impending? For what?
Was that impending? For what?
i doubt it. most of the critics didnt know alaska had\has a governor.

The Real Palin Demographic:
I won't vote for John McCain, because I want to dismantle the American overseas empire, while he wants to preserve it at all costs. I'm a libertarian, and I believe that Republicans have lost any Reagan-era credibility they had when they speak of small, limited government. I won’t vote for The One because I refuse to subscribe to any cult of personality that is based on a myth.:)
Nevertheless, I find the choice of Sarah Palin fascinating because of the problem she poses for the extreme left. They cast themselves as the champion of women and families, but this woman is a living illustration of how little the Democrats have to offer people like her.
First, she is married to a man, and she doesn't seem at all unhappy with her situation. This is problematic for disgruntled HRC Democrats. Joe "would you like some sugar with your restraining order, Ma'am?" Biden Democrats believe that women should be able to leave their marriages for any reason or for no reason, and that taxpayers and child support enforcement policies must be designed to make this choice a neutral one, with no economic consequences at all for mom and her children. The fact that she remains married to a man - after 20 years! - and has born 5 children with him is deeply troubling to Democrats.:D
The fact that she's been able to embark on a successful political career, and still have 5 children, is a thumb in the eye as far as Democrats are concerned. Democrats maintain that the freedom to have both children and a career requires government assistance, since men, by their very nature, have to be compelled by government to support women and their children. When a women chooses a lifelong partnership with a man, all she is doing is making a sneaky end-run around the government, selfishly consuming his wages and his labor directly from the source.
Second, she is a business owner, with her husband. While far from rich, they appear to be doing quite nicely. I'm guessing they have health insurance, so they don’t need the government to provide it. Unless she leaves her husband, the Democrats have nothing to offer her except for environmental regulations and higher taxes.
He husband is an oil worker! They draw income from the oil business! This is a big red flag, because to Democrats, anyone associated with petroleum, from the men on offshore oil rigs, to men driving oil trucks, to oil traders, to oil company managers, to oil company stockholders, are leeches on society, and defilers of nature.
She is a member of the NRA. Democrats don’t believe anyone, except for lesbians, should be allowed near guns.
She is an anti-abortion Christian. This is anathema to Democrats. Democrats believe that abortion should be a free choice, with no economic or personal consequences, right up to the moment of birth, at the very least. Abortion should be free of charge, funded completely by the public, and available without the slightest inconvenience to any female, of any age, of any citizenship status. Taxpayer-funded abortion clinics should be as ubiquitous as Starbucks, and rural women and children should be provided with a taxpayer-funded stretch limo and a driver to take them to the nearest clinic. It should be illegal for anyone - especially parents - to discourage abortion, or even hint that the decision has a moral dimension.
McCain didn’t choose her because he is trying to get disgruntled Hillary supporters. He is after a completely different and much larger demographic. He is trying to appeal to women that are married to men they don’t hate. Women who are relatively happy with their lives, relatively conservative on social issues, who aren't lawyers and either didn’t go to college, or went to college and avoided Womens Studies courses. Women who are ambivalent about abortion. Women who have managed their lives successfully enough to pay taxes every year. That is a very different demographic than disgruntled Hillary supporters.:bravo:

I like her. I trust her. She did a great job in AK. As opposed to Obama who did nothing but run for president since he was elected to the senate. Who did nothing but "community organize" and hang around with thugs (ACORN, Rev Wright, Ayers, Dorn, Farrakhan, Rezko, Meeks, Felsen...) :(

Not just "they", pretty much every person with half a brain is scratching their head as to how, why a woman with so little experience, and so little actual political acumen actually ended up being a candidate for vice president. . . that is, until they take a closer look at the McCain campaign.

I would say the same thing you said--only about Obama.
Syzygys 09-29-09, 08:05 PM why the fuck would you vote for someone like palin.
because she has a vagina. There was a comedy skit about this, when her only answer was: I have a vagina >>>> someone who wants to vote for a female doesn't care about qualifications.
I am really looking forward to read her expert advice on How to keep your teenagers away from sex.

That's a supposition that you cannot even hope to prove. Besides, I'm not ripping on her political views (some of which I thought were right, the other half. . . well, I thought were wrong). She was a moron with zero experience, and what experience she did have was in running a state that has a history of zero budget issues (oil) and which has the largest percentage of federally controlled land. Wow. She's a genius.
There were plenty of women, Republican and Democrat, who had enough experience to support the ticket. She didn't. She should have turned it down and said, "Uh, maybe in four to six years pal, but right now I need to figure out how to be a governor."

iceaura 09-30-09, 08:54 AM Not just "they", pretty much every person with half a brain is scratching their head as to how, why a woman with so little experience, and so little actual political acumen actually ended up being a candidate for vice president. . . that is, until they take a closer look at the McCain campaign. No one who has been following the Republican Party's Reagan era transformation was scratching their heads in puzzlement.
Palin was a decent choice, in the same strategical thinking that nominated W - who was about as qualified as Palin, if you look at his actual record - and won the Presidency twice, after taking over Congress with the likes of Kyle and Bond. As far as political acumen, the pros planned to handle that - the people currently managing Tim Pawlenty's branding. They underestimated the Pygmalion project involved, is all. She has a strong appeal to the basic Republican voter, even now. Whoever wants the Republican nomination in 2012 is going to have to include her in the picture somewhere.
27% of the American electorate would vote for her for President tomorrow. That triumph of thirty years of hard work; that media-grass, district by district, church by church, station by station, nuts and bolts, money in the bank, political ideological preparation of the surface; that is still there, visible right here on this forum ("Obamaphiliac Siting!").
Book deals are of course an excellent way to launder political contributions, supporting the propaganda outlets and the intellectuals or other valuable Party properties simultaneously. There's an entire mini-publishing industry being supported by the organized corporate right, to keep the various assets viable and ready - or quiet, as the case may be.
Sandy,What do you disagree with ?
I am not a libertarian. "Democrats don’t believe anyone, except for lesbians, should be allowed near guns." While that was funny, it was untrue. Most democrats know the importance/value of guns. I believe the rest of it is true.
.............
What a joke it is when people say Palin was unqualified. Obama is woefully unqualified and impotent as a president.

If he is impotent as president, why are so many right wingers so concerned about his policies? An impotent president wouldn't be able to accomplish anything, other than possibly allowing the world's worst terrorist attack to happen, even after having been explicitly warned about the looming possibility.
If he is impotent as president, why are so many right wingers so concerned about his policies?..
Because his policies will destroy this country. They have already bankrupted us. :(
He took over the auto industry to "save" it. Fail.
He took over the banks to save them. Fail.
End the war. Fail.
Close Gitmo. Fail.
Pass his bailout and unemployment will stop at 8%. Fail.
Cabinet and czar appointments. Fail.
ACORN. Fail.
Transparency. Fail.
He wants to take over our health care. God help us that he fails.
His pandering to Muslims is really ticking us off, too.
He wants total government control of the country. He won't get it.
spidergoat 09-30-09, 11:51 AM He seems to have saved us from another Republican Great Depression.
I am sure she will inspire aspiring quitters everywhere.
I LOL'd at that. I don't love or hate Palin (she seems nice enough, but not presidential material in my opinion), but I agree that a memoir seems a bit premature in her case.
I am not a libertarian. "Democrats don’t believe anyone, except for lesbians, should be allowed near guns." While that was funny, it was untrue. Most democrats know the importance/value of guns. I believe the rest of it is true.
so you just havw to be nice to them you say 'lesbians are good people' 'ohhhh i love lesbians.' 'you look beautiful today' etc.
What a joke it is when people say Palin was unqualified. Obama is woefully unqualified and impotent as a president.
If I was campaigning for Palin, I wouldn't be using her political experience as a reason to vote for her. That being said, Obama wasn't particularly qualified, either (with regard to experience). It's all politics. I sometimes post at a gun/hunting board which, as you may have guessed, is filled with right-wingers. During the campaign, many of them were raving about how "qualified" Palin was compared to Obama.
Personally, I think that one's intellect and philosophical outlook are better qualifiers than political experience. Walter Williams has never held any political office that I know of, but I think he'd make a better president than any candidate who ran in any of the recent presidential elections.
I am not a libertarian. "Democrats don’t believe anyone, except for lesbians, should be allowed near guns." While that was funny, it was untrue. Most democrats know the importance/value of guns. I believe the rest of it is true.

Ok, so then you truly believe this part:
I believe that Republicans have lost any Reagan-era credibility they had when they speak of small, limited government
Here is the reality of Reagan's smaller government nonsense,
"Even Ford and Carter did a better job at cutting government. Their combined presidential terms account for an increase of 1.4%—compared with Reagan's 3%—in the government's take of "national income." And in nominal terms, there has been a 60% increase in government spending, thanks mainly to Reagan's requested budgets, which were only marginally smaller than the spending Congress voted.
The budget for the Department of Education, which candidate Reagan promised to abolish along with the Department of Energy, has more than doubled to $22.7 billion, Social Security spending has risen from $179 billion in 1981 to $269 billion in 1986. The price of farm programs went from $21.4 billion in 1981 to $51.4 billion in 1987, a 140% increase. And this doesn't count the recently signed $4 billion "drought-relief" measure. Medicare spending in 1981 was $43.5 billion; in 1987 it hit $80 billion. Federal entitlements cost $197.1 billion in 1981—and $477 billion in 1987.
Foreign aid has also risen, from $10 billion to $22 billion. Every year, Reagan asked for more foreign-aid money than the Congress was willing to spend. He also pushed through Congress an $8.4 billion increase in the U.S. "contribution" to the International Monetary Fund.
His budget cuts were actually cuts in projected spending, not absolute cuts in current spending levels. As Reagan put it, "We're not attempting to cut either spending or taxing levels below that which we presently have."
The result has been unprecedented government debt. Reagan has tripled the Gross Federal Debt, from $900 billion to $2.7 trillion. Ford and Carter in their combined terms could only double it. It took 31 years to accomplish the first postwar debt tripling, yet Reagan did it in eight."
And this:
The fact that she remains married to a man - after 20 years! - and has born 5 children with him is deeply troubling to Democrats.
Why is this troubling to Democrats. Are you suggesting that only republicans get and stayed married for 20 years and that only republican women marry men ? I mean WTF is this supposed to mean.
Are you suggesting that only Democrats have failing marriages ? and that only Democrats cheat on their spouses ?
And there is more giberrish.
The fact that she's been able to embark on a successful political career, and still have 5 children, is a thumb in the eye as far as Democrats are concerned. Democrats maintain that the freedom to have both children and a career requires government assistance, since men, by their very nature, have to be compelled by government to support women and their children
So only Republican women with children embark on successful political careers ?
He seems to have saved us from another Republican Great Depression.
So we're ok now? We're not in a near-depression from his spending and trashing the econ? Your grandchildren won't be bailing us out from his disasterous presidency?
so you just havw to be nice to them you say 'lesbians are good people' 'ohhhh i love lesbians.' 'you look beautiful today' etc.
Nope. I think lesbianism is wrong but this is not the place to discuss that.
If I was campaigning for Palin, I wouldn't be using her political experience as a reason to vote for her. That being said, Obama wasn't particularly qualified, either (with regard to experience)...
Palin was a governor. She ran a state. VERY WELL. Obama ran nothing but his mouth. He spent his entire time as senator running for POTUS.
And more delusion
Second, she is a business owner, with her husband. While far from rich, they appear to be doing quite nicely. I'm guessing they have health insurance, so they don’t need the government to provide it. Unless she leaves her husband, the Democrats have nothing to offer her except for environmental regulations and higher taxes.
So again only Republicans run businesses ?
Palin was a governor. She ran a state. VERY WELL. Obama ran nothing but his mouth. He spent his entire time as senator running for POTUS.
I've never been to Alaska and don't know a lot about it, so I can't comment about how well she did as governor. But I pretty much agree with what you said about Obama.
spidergoat 09-30-09, 12:59 PM So we're ok now? We're not in a near-depression from his spending and trashing the econ?.
Things seem to be improving. Bush trashed the economy by the way. Him and all the other conservative corporate politicians.

If you can't write a book don't.

Amazing: Palin’s book number one on both Amazon and Barnes & Noble bestseller list; Update: “It is truly unprecedented!":bravo:
48 days before the release and she’s already topped Dan Brown’s latest conspiracy-theory casserole at both top retailers. To put that in perspective, note that the book doesn’t even have a cover yet.:D
If it goes on to become a mega-seller, it’s a game-changer insofar as it’ll establish her unquestionably as the most prominent Republican in America, which leaves Huck and Mitt in an awkward spot...
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/09/30/amazing-palins-book-number-one-on-both-amazon-and-barnes-noble-bestseller-list/
Sarah Palin's most consequential choice since leaving the Governor's Mansion may be her co-author - a staunch conservative, devoted evangelical Christian, and intensely partisan Republican from far, far outside the Beltway.
Oooo-that's gonna make the libs hyperventilate. They LOVE women like that!
Lynn Vincent spent the summer working with Palin on a closely-guarded 400 page memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life." The book is due out from HarperCollins November 17 - but it shot to the top of the Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble bestseller lists Wednesday as word of its publication spread.
Vincent's past projects include co-writing the memoir of General William Boykin, who blasted the media and President George W. Bush alike for ending his career over his casting the war on terror in overtly religious terms. Her most political book, "Donkey Cons," describes the Democratic Party since its inception as "pro-gangster" and the "party of treason and subversion." Her work for World Magazine, where she was an editor, includes a description of President Barack Obama as the "minority survivor" of the "black genocide" - that is, abortion...
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0909/Palins_coauthor.html
Among the books "Going Rogue" is outselling: Sen. Ted Kennedy's "True Compass," Mitch Albom's "Have a Little Faith" and Dan Brown's "The Lost Symbol," his first novel since "The Da Vinci Code" and, perhaps until now, the year's most anticipated release.:bravo::D

That's probably because people want to see if she can write a coherent sentence.
iceaura 10-01-09, 08:44 AM Sarah Palin's most consequential choice since leaving the Governor's Mansion may be her co-author - a staunch conservative, devoted evangelical Christian, and intensely partisan Republican from far, far outside the Beltway. Very true - guaranteed sales of a half million, to the fundie crowd, and the base of a big advance. They buy a lot of books, and even read some of them. Palin is now reasonably wealthy in her own right.
The churches also make a good laundry for the political money - money donated to a church for buying books is a tax writeoff.
However, that was almost certainly a choice made before leaving the Governor's mansion. Palin is not the type to give up a gravy train unless a richer one comes along.
Lynn Vincent spent the summer working with Palin on a closely-guarded 400 page memoir, The whole summer? My gosh, that's a lot of work for just one little book. But it's probably a really important one, so she wanted to do an extra special good job.
...Palin is not the type to give up a gravy train unless a richer one comes along...
I could say the exact same thing about Obama. And didn't he write a book before he was elected?

iceaura 10-01-09, 09:52 AM Palin's book is already a best-seller and it doesn't even have a jacket yet! That is infuriating the liberals It's Lynn Vincent's book, and we "liberals" have been watching you fundies shovel your money at this kind of stuff and allow yourselves to be used like this for many years now. When we're young, we sometimes react with fury at the profiteering of scam artists - as we age, we consider the wisdom of PT Barnum.

WOW. that was fantastic.
While Obama went to Columbia university and graduated at Harvard two amazing schools. While Mccain went to a navy college his class rank was 894 out of 900 students.
In fairness, the dumbest guy at the US Naval Academy is still probably pretty intelligent. It's a bit harder to get into than a community college, if you haven't heard. ;)
WROTE - not commissioned.
Ayers wrote Obama's book. Obama is not eloquent. His addiction to teleprompters proves that.

you ask a dumb question, you get a dumb answer.
joepistole 10-01-09, 12:07 PM I understand it her book has 400 pages. That is a big book by most standards. I wonder what she discusses and if she includes any photos? It sounds like they are confident it is going to be a best seller.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:08 PM you ask a dumb question, you get a dumb answer.
I suppose it was too much to assume she reads. (and she couldn't even make anything up)
. (and she couldn't even make anything up)
well that is the point. why should i give someone an answer to a meaningless\loased question that many people would just bs about anyway?
i would have said: 'i only read comic books and cook books etc.' with a straight face and then it would be in all the headlines.
omg, he said comic books.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:14 PM It just shows she can't think on her feet. And that she is not well informed about world events.

It just shows she can't think on her feet. And that she is not well informed about world events.
it would just show someone being dishonest or giving the answer they are 'supposed' to give.
it is dumb question to ask. look, a reasonable person would conclude that a college educated governor reads.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:24 PM It's not a dumb question, and anyone with the slightest political skill would say something. I think she was just embarrased that she gets all her info from Fox Nooze.
Palin's best-seller is driving the libs nuts. They're hyperventilating. Again.:D

that is terrible. but most people forget that these people are primarily entertainers. i admit that, although i am a liberal democrat, i listen to talk radio because it is entertaining. the liberal hosts are just not very good, for whatever reason.

I'm excited, it should be another entertaining train wreck.

Palin is hot AND smart. And that has the libs melting down.

The ugliest part of Palin (and you) is her mind.
It's not a dumb question, and anyone with the slightest political skill would say something. I think she was just embarrased that she gets all her info from Fox Nooze.
it is condescending. it is like insulting someones intelligence so you deserve a stupid answer. so people dont likke politicians and when they get a politician who does not respond like a politician they criticize them? doesnt make sense to me.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:40 PM I often wondered the same thing. What could she be reading and still be so uninformed? Her response was more stupid than anyone expected, she was obviously caught off guard because she does not read. That explains a lot.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:44 PM Yes.
Palin gets most of her news by being briefed or the net. She doesn't read cr@p.
personally...i think it was asked because she is a female. and that is not right.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:45 PM Yup.
where you ever elected to be governor of a state?
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:46 PM Nope.
well if you were a governor and you went to college i would have to assume that you do read.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:51 PM I know she can read, but not what she does read to keep informed. She seems incurious and clueless, and she didn't say anything to contradict that perception.
Palin is smart. She was tired, exhausted, burned out, and had the little gnat Couric picking at her, pushing at her, and pressuring her. Palin doesn't read liberal cr@p papers. She's hot, smart, and driving the liberals nuts.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 12:55 PM She has some degree of political smarts, she knows her base and how to pander to them, that's about it.
She has some degree of political smarts, she knows her base and how to pander to them, that's about it.
She gave a great speech at the GOP convention and revved up the base. She is smart, hot, funny, successful, a great mother/wife and human being. She didn't kill her baby who she knew was Downs. Her approval ratings were in the 90's in AK. No other governor had ratings that high. Palin is a roaring success and that infuriates the liberals. She is not the moron Tina Fey made her out to be.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 01:07 PM If she was such a great governor, why did she abandon her state for a book deal?
Repo Man 10-01-09, 01:47 PM What's the prob? Chelsea was a dog. Lots of plastic surgery, makeup and hair dye have made her borderline ok.
Palin is hot AND smart. And that has the libs melting down.
At the time, she was an awkward twelve year old, with a mouth full of braces. Rationalizing Limbaugh's cruel commentary on a young woman who had nothing to do with national policy, but was only a target because her father was president, is perfectly within your rights, but it also means that you concede the moral high ground.
Repo Man 10-01-09, 01:49 PM I would have laughed if it was funny. It wasn't. It would have been funny if the punchline left out the word 'vagina'. That made it stupid.
Do you think babies are delivered by the stork? Ok, substitute uterus for vagina if it makes you feel better.
iceaura 10-01-09, 01:53 PM that is terrible. but most people forget that these people are primarily entertainers. Rush is the single most influential Republican Party intellectual and policy setter.
well that is the point. why should i give someone an answer to a meaningless\loased question that many people would just bs about anyway? Because you are in a Katie Couric interview, and that is a softball question designed to allow you deflect the growing criticism of your ignorance and ineptitude.
look, a reasonable person would conclude that a college educated governor reads. So Couric made a mistake, can you blame her?
Being less reasonable, I would have assumed that Palin reads almost nothing, and never has read anything, and regards people who have read lots of stuff as suspect and unreliable and not very competent at real life. So I would have asked her how being a governor compared with being a mother, and what it was like negotiating with big oil companies and their teams of lawyers, and whether she had seen "Mr Smith Goes To Washington", and so forth.
If I were Katie Couric.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 02:37 PM Palin doesn't read liberal cr@p papers.
I'm still not convinced she can read.
spidergoat 10-01-09, 03:09 PM I can't wait for the movie! Add her to the list of people that are famous for being famous.

Not my puppy 10-01-09, 07:20 PM Sandy rules!
I was amazed when I saw that Sarah got 7 million front money and was out selling the Kennedy memorial. I wouldn't have believed Sandy could be right about politics but she sure knows and supports a winner in Palin. I bet that if Sarah were to run for office, say state senator, she would get more than a majority of Dem votes and would win by a huge landslide over any Dem who wanted the big embarrassment of losing to someone painted as such a twit by the left and the fringe media.
Too bad Palin won't be able to afford to go back into public service, nor would she want to given the vitriol laid on her by the press and Dem activists.

You believe in "do as I say" to children and pets but are also very likely to "do as YOU say others should do" when it comes to values.
You never lose control under the influence of anything but your temper but get miffed by gov’t control over people’s choice to use drugs and alcohol judiciously.
You are tolerant of others views but intolerant of those who are not tolerant of others.
I consider two out of three a good score.

Nice.
She was a child, a child approaching her teens. And people wonder why the suicide rate amongst teenagers is so high... with people like you around, one should not really have to wonder.
Palin is hot AND smart. And that has the libs melting down.
Palin is a woman who thinks she can wink and grin her way through questions and hope people were superficial enough to concentrate solely on her looks and not what was between her ears. The libs weren't melting down because she is "hot and smart", the libs were melting down at the thought that someone who thought Africa was a country could come so close to the white house.
She's still ugly.
I don't think so. I think she is an attractive and highly intelligent and accomplished young woman.
Liberals went after the Bush twins with a vengeance calling them whores, drunks, and losers.
From what I remember, eyebrows were raised when the Bush twins were caught drink driving, etc when they were in their late teens and early 20's.
I can't wait for the attacks on the Obama kids.
I believe you can view the attacks on sites like 'Storm front'.

Palin is an insult to women.
You know the title, now see the cover of Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue." The former Alaska governor's memoir, a top-seller online weeks before publication, will feature an outdoor shot of Palin, wearing an American flag pin on her red fleece top, eyes turned slightly from the camera as she smiles confidently into the horizon, a patchwork of Alaska blue sky and clouds behind her. Doesn't she look great?

Nice picture of Obama with his relative/leader in Africa who wants to instill Sharia Law.:(
iceaura 10-02-09, 12:16 PM At some point, the question of legality comes up: these bulk book money laundering scams have been busted before (for a very minor example one of my local guys (http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,970360-1,00.html), and not a bad guy overall), and gaming the bestseller lists is a kind of grey area in the law even if it does not involve political contributions.
The pattern is familiar and has come to seem normal, as recently in the marketing of Ann Coulter's later books (with the huge advance sales quietly pawned off into specialty book clubs or returned to origin). But this example, involving a state governor actually resigning to buy in, and millions of dollars of obviously political leverage focused on a single politician, is a bit raw.
At some point, the question of legality comes up: these bulk book money laundering scams...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKwZNwdowa4&feature=related
Palin fought the liberal media, the McCain campaign, and the broader GOP establishment. That endeared her to millions of Americans. She modeled her leadership on the Biblical Queen Esther, who pulled off a long-shot gambit to save the Jews from an oppressive king. When she stepped down as Alaska's governor this year, Palin quoted Esther directly in reference to her own political future: "If I die, I die."
Palin is awesome!
