I'm in Drama at my school and though I like acting, I'd rather be writing stuff for the stage. you know skits, actual plays! No musicals though. Anyway, I came up with an idea today during Spanish. I was writing something about how idols are fake people, but that's not the point. I came up with an idea for a schizophrenic play. the main character is (i'm sure you've figured by now) a schizo and during the play, when he is interacting with the other characters, his other personas come in and fuck with his life. i'm thinking that he could have at least three other personas, and at different points he will have these small conversations with them. they will walk around him in circles, but he will keep looking straight ahead. I would like to know if anyone has done something like this before so that I know before i move into plaugerism(sp?). Thanks :)

Lord of the Rings: Smeogol has an interesting dialoque with Gollem about whether or not to kill the master and get the precious.

I encourage you whole heartidly to try your hand at writing. My one piece of advise off the start - avoid cliches. And schizophrenia is a common (and easily fucked up) high school-style tool. Try to avoid that kind of stuff. Also try and avoid anything that seems too experimental (as far as technique goes, that is). As a rookie writer, it's most likely it won't end up good.

That was dilusional schizophrenia. I'm not talking about seeing people that aren't there. Maybe I should have used Multiple-Personality Disorder instead of Schizophrenia.
