The SCI FI Channel joined with John Podesta, former chief of staff to President Bill Clinton, in calling for declassification of secret government records on UFOs, the network announced. Now why would they want a bunch of papers with so many black magic marker lines through it that only a few words per page can be read?

It's better than nothing. I think when they declassify documents they don't release them with the lines blacked over, but if they don't do that then I doubt that they release documents completely covered up.
