There was never a problem before. What happened?

If you've got orignial art that speaks fo itself, post it here. I've always thought a 'picto-forum' would be a great idea. The last thread I found of yours in A/C was right here. (http://www.sciforums.com/t6371/sf8397a42a77e904782eaa6a1f3957532/thread.html) and there was nothing wrong with that. I won't delete anything that's just art and no words, unless it falls under the category of either inflammatory, igonorant, or sarcastic. Go ahead!

Somethings Happening
------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone, and I mean everyone
knew something was happening.
What they once had was gone
and no one knew what it was.

Like a frog slowly boiled
they couldn't feel the transition.

Everything was different
yet outwardly looked unchanged.

Every soul sensed a need to blame.
Some chose someone
others accused something.
Few blamed themselves all the same.

No eyes, ears, smell, taste or touch
were designed to sense the change
that surrounded their galaxy.
Empty vesicles in their brains
only knew a mysterious pressure.

All they knew was a deep regret or hate.
With less time to live a life
all struggles were more intense

Emotions incensed.
Ostracism became the force
that countered
the gravity of love.
It grew immense.

Instinct screamed to push back.
But it did not work.

There used to be time for a choice
no matter what the background noise.

But no one truely knew what was wrong.
Most thought war had been declared
forever.
But this was just the beginning.

The unseen wave was
still rolling in.
All time and matter
had been compressed
by twenty two percent.

There was six hundred
and sixty six percent to go.
There would soon be a time
when time

stopped.

Still no one would know
as they sat alone or
faced each other
like wooden soldiers
in angst or rapture
for a virtual
eternity.

Sliding back down
on the backside of the wave,
Time slowly returns
with a warmth and longing
of a sun unseen
after a winter of 2,000 years.

Don,
You're posting this in the wrong forum. Please post it in Pseudoscience.

I think this can pass as art. First there's a collage and then there's a poem.

Portfiry, I suggest you add a poll to this thread: "is this art? *yes *no." Then after some time, the results can say in which forum it is supposed to be.

:) :) :) :)

Congrats

;) This is art, and a poem. Hardly enough for a debate on pseudoscience. If someone wrote a poem about naure, and it was suggested they move it to Earth Science, would it really make any discussion about the environment that supercedes the discussion on its artistic merit?

If we go around dividing artwork into the theme it encompasses, we will no longer have anything left in this forum- if you move the pseudoscienc art to pseudoscience, how can you possibly find art that is art themed? It's just redundant. All art is inhernatly themed on something else. It's just foolish to suggest Don H post this in a pseuoscience forum. It's art, so he should post it here.

I think the first pictures posted here by Don H are Art also. He posted a poem right under it. I think I should move that thread back to Art and Culture, so you can merge them. :)

What do you think Congratulations? :)

So you two minions are DEFYING el presidente???

:) :) :)

Congrats

Yep, Bansh, I think you should move it back. I don't see the value of posting it in pseudoscence when in fact people will not be coming there to make artistic commentary. It wouldn't even matter if it was intensely pseudoscience themed. If art is only its theme, then all art is redunant!

And now, to encourage Don H, who obviously felt slightly rejected judging by the title of the thread:

POST MORE OF YOUR ORIGINAL ART HERE!! :) :)

Cause you make nice things.

:) Consider it done. Thread will be moved back...NOW! :)

Well this certainly sounded like moving day at the Bickersons.

It is a valid debate.
Governments have often tried to control political art by promoting state art or banishing the "intellectuals".

rest assured I will confine the political poetry to the politics forum:
such as...

Military overthrow of the USA?
_________________________________

We finally have a freely elected President
with backbone to USE the most powerful
Military Industrial Complex on Earth.

I suspect it is the other way around.
Except oil interests control them both.

The Constitution preserves the civilian authority
over the country of
the United States of America.

civilian authority.

It sounds so puny doesn't it.

it is

Unless you're a $billion lobbiest.

Last I heard the Constitution was for shareholders
not the people.
People are downsized
and states rights
are mowed down.

Who needs a military overthrow
when they already run the show.

Yep its a scary world.
Whats really scary are those
who believe in God's holy war
as well as those who
who refuse to believe
in an overthrow.
"it can't happen here".

Meanwhile heed the Attorney General's words;
Watch what you say.

and where you say it

so I better edit this now...

Don H, your official thread: Today's Pictures, is moved back to this Forum, right after the former reply. :) If you take a look you'll see it a little down the threads. I guess Congratulations's not had the time to merge the two of them together yet.

You posted a good poem, :) it's very true too...

I'll let this one slide, but to the moderators and posters, I am the final arbiter when it comes to which thread is relevant to which forum. And to the posters in particular, don't be offended if your thread is moved.
