View Full Version : So what are your New Year's resolutions?? sargentlard 12-25-03, 05:36 PM Well? Humor yourselves....you'll never keep them... so what are they? cosmictraveler 12-25-03, 06:53 PM I never make any. Whenever I use to make them I never kept them so why bother.:( Absane 12-25-03, 06:54 PM I don't bother either. I don't try to humor myself :p Mors 12-25-03, 07:16 PM get at least 5 A's on finals :D Ozymandias 12-25-03, 08:40 PM I see no need to change anything about myself. I am content the way I am. :D Xerxes 12-26-03, 01:11 AM Weather permitting, I want to run more and get in good enough shape to place well at the city (maybe provincial) wrestling meets. Tiassa 12-26-03, 01:51 AM Cigarettes: Might as well try to kick the habit again. My health, my child's health, and the health of the family finances will all benefit. Communication: I would like to communicate better with my partner, but have yet to find that route. I'm just never sure what to say to someone who bases her contrarian opposition to everything on the fact that she's a Libra. (Famous quote: "Fuck you! Why can't you just let me believe it?") Municipality of Burien: Having hidden inside a self-constructed wall (in the Floydian sense), I have recently discovered that, no matter what I do, I'm going to have to put in an appearance in court in Burien, Washington at some point. I might as well do it this year. Hey, it's ... seven years down the line and they don't actually want to come and get me ... that's actually an encouraging sign. SoLiDUS 12-26-03, 02:18 AM Perfection of skills and excellence at academia. No need to lose any weight and I don't smoke :p CounslerCoffee 12-26-03, 02:52 AM I've got a few: -Read more. A lot more. I'm going to read a book a week starting on January 1st, 2004. -Write something once a week. Since leaving school I haven’t done any writing assignments. I really miss them. -Wake up everyday at 10am instead of 3pm. -Actually do something productive with my day instead of going to my suck ass job. -Quit drinking so much. (I'm normally drunk on Fridays, very drunk on Saturday, and mildly drunk on Sunday.) Since getting kicked out of school I've become sloppy. I no longer do anything or learn anything. I feel empty and unaccomplished. I have to do something for sanities sake. sargentlard 12-26-03, 04:29 PM -Write something once a week. Since leaving school I haven’t done any writing assignments. I really miss them. Yeah i know what you mean. Communication: I would like to communicate better with my partner, but have yet to find that route. I'm just never sure what to say to someone who bases her contrarian opposition to everything on the fact that she's a Libra. (Famous quote: "Fuck you! Why can't you just let me believe it?") Good luck. Those types are tenacious against believing that stars do not rule their lives. Pollux V 12-26-03, 04:59 PM I guess I'd like to lose my virginity this year. Why not? NightFall 12-26-03, 11:52 PM hmmmm knock off 10 more pounds?:) oh.. and world peace. Inner Fire 12-27-03, 01:28 AM 1) Not too much in a rush to lose my virginity, but how bout a gf? :) I'm getting old. :( 2) Bench at least my own weight. 3) Get all A's in grad school (probly won't happen). :( 4) Have fun (although that would go against #3 =/). Bells 12-27-03, 02:52 AM Well after losing a close and beloved family member this year, I plan to spend more quality time with those I love. Every minute counts I guess. Try and paint a bit more and think about selling a few pieces. With uni and family commitments this year I didn't have time and after the tragedy that befell my family this year I just couldn't bring myself to pick up a paint brush. Hope to change that in the new year. Spend more time reading books that aren't law texts... lol.. cthulhus slave 12-27-03, 07:45 AM 1. gain wieght, curently i wiegh 98 lbs and i look like a diseased toothpic. 2. make friends, after my pleasent brush with insanity and numourus brake downs earlier this year most of them have deamed me crazy then left me high and dry. and lets face it, the thirteen year old boy down the street i sell drugs to just doesnt count. 3. read more. 4. start programing again. 5. lose virginity, and someone else's if possible. 6. learn to drive. 7. masturbate and look at porn less. 8. clean room 9. start writing again. 10. change my 'look'. im seriusly getting sick of this same old hair and these same drab clothes, i need a change. with that many im sure to keep one of em.... certified psycho 12-27-03, 08:36 AM Win a $100 million on the lottery which i will never play, wih the money i don't have. Vortexx 12-27-03, 09:22 AM Inner fire, how about getting hooked to amphetamines? - you will lose weight rapidly so benching your own weight become easier - Since the A's in school wouldn't probably happen anyway , you might as well go for the fun - Drugs have a habit of making you lose virginity , but you be asking yourselve for the rest of your life how could you sleep with that awfull girl even while being high Absane 12-27-03, 10:10 AM Originally posted by tiassa Cigarettes: Might as well try to kick the habit again. My health, my child's health, and the health of the family finances will all benefit. Isn't that the resolution of every smoker? DCLXVI 12-27-03, 02:19 PM I resolve to start smoking and exercise less, I also plan on gaining weight (fat, not muscle) and I need to watch more TV. Honey 12-27-03, 10:37 PM It's another year of my standard resolutions: Eat more chocolate. Successfully complete at least most of the projects I start. And I think to balance cthulhus slave's resolution to masturbate and look at porn less, I will masturbate and look at porn more. Someone's gotta do it. Calculusaurus 12-29-03, 12:58 AM I wish that these resolutions actually worked... I'll try this year, but the "new year's" title doesn't make my resolutions any different then the ones I make anyway--particularly once before each school semester and once before summer. 1) In my free time playing a video game will be an occasional novelty; I'll try to make reading my relaxing activity instead (read: the activity I actually do every day). 2) Regardless of how much homework I have, I will manage to get to bed on time every night. All-nighters will be much more infrequent. 3) Learn how to stay content in mediocre circumstances; I hardly accomplished this this past school semester, so I'll try to change that by making my boring school fun--even if it is all in my head. It's all about attitude, right? Too bad those 3 will be cumbersome enough as they are! Oh well, life goes on. phlogistician 12-29-03, 06:55 AM No more drunken butter eating competitions with my friends. No more drinking competitions with my friends. Get new friends. |
