View Full Version : Space 1999 Thor 08-06-02, 04:45 PM WTF is with those flares! Firefly 08-06-02, 04:57 PM WTF is with the show?! ...OK, so it's not that bad... :p Thor 08-06-02, 04:58 PM WTF is with the music Firefly 08-06-02, 05:09 PM LOL, it coulda been worse though... Coulda been ST:TOS. :p *waits for torrent of abuse* Thor 08-06-02, 05:15 PM Don't wait. I agree with you Firefly 08-06-02, 05:19 PM Yay! :) though I'm sure there must be some tossers... I mean TOS fans :D around here who I should keep clear of... ah well, I'll just blame it all on you. :) :p Thor 08-06-02, 05:34 PM No, lets blame it on Brolly:D :D :D :D Redwolf5150 08-13-02, 10:54 PM I watched Space and ST:TOS when they were BOTH on first run. Could have been MUCH worse. Wasn't much Sci Fi on television then. Could have been Lost in Space AFTER the first five episodes. ;) Jamie T. Da Wolf Thor 08-14-02, 02:19 AM What about Project UFO, not U.F.O, but Yufo Pollux V 08-14-02, 11:04 AM What's ST: TOS? I thought it was star trek...but I've never heard of TOS. Lets see...there's original, next gen, ds9, voyager, and enterprise. What else is there?? Lesion42 08-14-02, 11:06 AM TOS = The Original Series Pollux V 08-14-02, 11:10 AM TOS is awsome, I think, but Next Generation will always be my favorite. I really wish I could have seen the finale to Voyager but I don't....get the channel it plays on. It's really the only channel I don't get, actually, which is kind of funny... Lesion42 08-14-02, 11:18 AM Patrick Stewart is the coolest. Brent Spiner is awesome too. Thor 08-14-02, 03:30 PM The original series was so terrible Deena 08-14-02, 03:55 PM OH so terrible. But man do I like it. That's the appeal I think, like B-movies. Thor 08-14-02, 04:09 PM I was hooked when it was on BBC2 every Monday and Friday BatM 08-21-02, 01:19 PM Originally posted by Thor What about Project UFO, not U.F.O, but Yufo Past history -- it all happened in the early 1980s. Of course, Space 1999 is now past history as well. It's getting to the point where Star Trek is the only thing that discusses specific dates in the future any more. Of course, even some of it's predictions are now past history (like the Eugenics Wars of the late 1990s that led to Khan). Technomage 08-31-02, 05:13 AM When I watched Space 1999 in the Seventies it was actually quite good, but unfortunately time hasn't been kind to it. As for the flares and music, well, it WAS the Seventies! :D Skull 08-31-02, 10:55 PM Pollux V, voyager's ending... didn't miss much. "We're home..." 'What?' "We're home!" 'Oh... well you had better start the music and start rolling the credits?'  :( anyway back on subject... 1999, their ships (i think eagles?) were pretty cool for there day. just the model that is, please, not the way they flew or weapons or anything, just the look. flares? i thought they were sparklers :D |
