NenarTronian 12-14-02, 01:14 PM Not a DVD, but i have the boxed set of Planet of the Apes videos...all 5! A great 11 hours of viewing, oh yeah..
%BlueSoulRobot% 12-14-02, 09:14 PM 1) Star Wars! (of course, how could we ALL forget??)
2) Lord of the Rings (definitely!)
3) Artificial Intelligence (drove me to tears, it was so good) :)
4) The Matrix + Reloaded + Revolutions (hurry hurry hurry!!)
5) 2001: Space Odyssey
6) Dark City
It's all good. I want to see Soylent Green, and A Clockwork Orange. Maybe my list will change after. :)
Word to the wise: Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT watch or buy or do ANYTHING at all related to Spawn the movie. It was quite possible the worst movie I had ever seen in my entire life. Suckiest suck that ever sucked on the spectrum of sucking wrapped in a suck, deep fried in a sucky suck and served with suck sauce!! IMHO of course. I used to think the characters were cool...but now..*gags*
Spawn Story:
Al Simmons, once the U.S. government's greatest soldier and most effective assassin, was mercilessly executed by his own men. Resurrected from the ashes of his own grave in a flawed agreement with the powers of darkness, Simmons is reborn as a creature from the depths of Hell. A Hellspawn. Now Spawn must choose between his life on Earth and his place on a throne in Hell. Spawn is one of the longest-running and most-respected independent comics of all time.
Cool, neh? Not after the movie!! grrr...
Pollux V 12-15-02, 08:46 AM They don't have the original star wars movies out on dvd, do they? I'd really be interested in the special features and documentaries n stuff, yes, 'twould be cool.
Beh. A.I was okay. Minority Report was waaaaaaaaay better. I just hope Spielberg completes the trilogy of slightly-in-the-future movies, they appear to be getting better.
(I consider A.I and Minority Report part of a series, because of the camera style, for the most part).
Maybe I'll get the Matrix. But I dunno...besides the action scenes it didn't really amaze me that much.
LOTR: Extended Version I shall have in my possession soon.
%BlueSoulRobot% 12-16-02, 08:38 PM Jah, they have the original Star Wars out on DVD: http://www.newdvd.cc/dvd/dvdsc_032.htm :) But no special features, I think.
However, there's a petition to get the original trilogy onto DVD...:bugeye: www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/838350200
The best they have are the VHS versions so far, I guess.
Pollux V 12-17-02, 06:35 AM Yeah, I always thought that the videos didn't necesarily display the most perfect digital quality, as they professed to, that dvds would be the only way to make the trilogy look as great as it should. I'd get the dvds but I'd prefer they have special features...
UberDragon 12-17-02, 11:00 PM Blue, did you see the cartoon series that MacFarland had on HBO?? That was good shit! I don't think they show it anymore, but there should be a DVD of it somewhere.

Alien Mastermind 12-30-02, 09:59 AM Stargate the movie?? I've never heard of it! I can't believe I'm a Stargate fan and have mever heard of the movie...
Artificial Intelligence
There was a movie some time ago. called D.A.R.Y.L., alot like A.I., it rocked. If your interested, look it up. I can't remember anything about it, we recorded it off TV a long time ago.
Edit: if you've never heard of the Stargate movie(the one the TV show is based on) you suck.:p
Got Babylon 5 first season in DVD for xmas. Narration by JMS is great. There is a deal by NASA to use Star Fury design and call it Star Fury.
Alien Mastermind 12-30-02, 10:55 AM if you've never heard of the Stargate movie(the one the TV show is based on) you suck.
Well, I have arrived to Canada only about 2 years ago, so I might have missed it.
I want to correct myself: I have indeed heard of the Stargate movie, but never seen it. I have also heard that the movie sucks, but I can't be sure.
Hindsight is 20/20. Stargate movie was great when it came out.
and now it sucks?
and for those who dont know it was made by the same guys who did independence day
The Stargate movie was superb, the TV show definitely sucks in comparison.

OMG.....BLUE!!!
You have to see them !!!!!!!!!
Let us build a stargate ...we need superconducting magnets, carbon filament structures and create a pulsating magnetic vortex and see if anything happens? One will never know...if one does not try....:D
Somebody check out if anyone filed a patent on it....
