Latest investigations into the death of the Oetzi Iceman have revealed that he died 53,000 years ago after being wounded by an arrow in the left shoulder. The Oetizi Iceman was found by German tourists in the Oetizi Valley on the edge of Italy wearing a grass cape and goat skin leggings with a copper headed axe and quiver of arrows laying near the body. This leads researchers to believe that it was a painful death that took 3 to 10 hours. They believe that he fled his attacker and bled to death before being entombed in ice.

The arrowhead was 2 centimeters long and made of stone. The arrow shattered the spatula tearing trough nerves and major blood vessels and paralyzed the arm. This was about the time that man was changing from stone to metal tools.

A replica has been modeled to suggest what he may have looked like during his life.

Wet1,
You added one too many zero's. The Iceman died 5,300 years ago.

You are indeed correct! What can I say, too many repetitions. Nice catch.

Thanx guys, I needed a good chuckle! Busted on spelling too? Yeah, that's one thing I never claimed to be good at.
