This is the decade where scientists are desperately trying to find out process for time travel, forward as well as backwards. Scientist believed that it is possible to travel through time if we can travel through “ worm hole “, a theoretical path defined by the laws of Quantum Physics. Recently this idea has faded since a scientist in Germany has discovered a method with which he was able to transfer sound ( mixed with laser beams ) from one place to another with a speed faster than the speed of light and still reproduce the exact sound (URL (http://www.aei-potsdam.mpg.de/~mpoessel/Physik/FTL/tunnelingftl.html) ). With this discovery scientist in the field of time travel has come up with a new idea that it is possible to travel through time by imparting the knowledge of time in to the human beings mind. Now you might feel like you have heard this theory somewhere else ! Yes, it is true but not from a scientist nor from a person in the related field, but it could be from a person who practice and enlighten the theories of meditation and yoga. Let us call him a Yogi.
Yogi (An Indian monk) from the good old days went beyond the physical plane of understanding and had a brilliant theory to explain. They proved those theories physically with there own life. These yogis where not interested in time travel rather they were after something bigger than that. But still if they had a theory about time travel and now if the world is after that, I believe that it is the duty of a follower (of a yogi) like me, to explain those wonderful theories to those with quest for truth.
The theory they used was very simple, that also had a bent were they said, that a human being can acquire the entire knowledge that is there in the universe. If today’s scientist would agree to this theory they would say in that case the time travel is possible. To begin with, lets try to evaluate what the yogis said about knowledge acquiring. The question raised is how ?
Again the answer is simple, by being with the universe, by feeling one with the universe. To achieve that one has to prepare himself, his soul, his mind and his body for the new level of understanding through practicing meditation. Now you might feel like this is again a repetition of what everybody says about yoga and meditation, the reason might be the misapprehend terms like meditation and yoga. The term meditation is used to explain too many things at one instance. This term was used in conditions were sometimes it was very inadequate as well as misleading. Here we use the term meditation as the way of practicing "Pranayama" in the proper way, for detailing the basic principle of this time travel concept. Pranayama is nothing but the exercise of the life energy (pranan), let us start to use the term Pranayama instead of meditation to detail the different steps involved in acquiring the truth, the knowledge of the universe.
According to "Yoga choodamani" (an authentic book on pranayama), when any living being takes a breath in, it produces the sound "Sa" and when it breath out produces a sound of "Ha". Like this every living being is breathing with a natural manthra (enchant) of HAMSA. So in a day when calculated a living being takes about 21,600 breaths and unknowingly spell or chant the HAMSA manthra.
Even though this is the natural manthra, it has its own inadequacies. This manthra has breaks in its course, one in the beginning and one at the end. This could be treated as a lock of the nature, as the secret of the universe or as the trap in the path to truth. Because of this break no living being, by default, can develop its sixth sense or be with the universe to understand its uniqueness and the universal knowledge. When the same manthra practiced as per the direction of a Guru (holy teacher) where the deficiencies of the natural HAMSA manthra are eliminated by practicing the SOHAM breathing this break could be avoided and a human being can achieve the state of being with the universe, which is known as LAYAM (feeling one with the nature). This practice is also known by the name of AJAPA (the practice, which is done without spelling or chanting anything). This way it exceeds the barriers of language and is spread in the world equally in all continents and in all cultures. This way it also explains the uniqueness of the universal truth, there is only one truth, only one nature and only one belief.
When an Upasak (the one who practise this way of pranayama) practice Ajapa or SOHAM pranayama, his breathing gets used to this special kind of cyclic breaths where by even after stopping the deliberate practice of cyclic breaths, his breathing shows a natural tendency to get back to the cyclic breath of SOHAM pranayama or Ajapa. This way it also assures the results and the effects of this kind of a pranayama resides in that body even when he is not practicing. Since this method is based on the natural tendency of a living being it is possible for any human being to practice Ajapa, what ever be his cast, creed, colour and intellect, to achieve the state of LAYAM. This entire process of Ajapa is a practice for the sense and the soul, rather than the body or mind. Every human being is born with quest for truth, he/she has a natural tendency to search for that, the reason for the unsuccessfulness is because he/she doesn’t know were to search and how to search or simply doesn’t know the path to truth. This method of Ajapa is the path to that truth, this path has to be shown to your soul and sense rather than to your consciousness (your brain). This path is revealed to your senses and to your internal energies when a Guru gives you the secret and sacred initiation through letting you hear the never-ending music of life when he exhale in to your ears the secret breath. This process of initiation is known as the Deeksha or Vidya. This process of initiation is the same what is detailed in the Holy Bible as Gospel. This can only be done by a Guru who has achieved the state of being with the universe and unless other wise a person get a proper initiation from a Guru who has achieved this state, there is no point in practicing SOHAM pranayama or Ajapa. This is the reason why not many has achieved this higher state nor has even heard of such a secret thing, which existed through ages without being redefined or blended with religious misuse.
When the Upasak continues his practice full heartedly he will be able to develop his mind and thoughts. When he practice and perfects Ajapa with feeling of higher sense of existence he will be able to listen to the music that follows or accompanies the SOHAM pranayama. When the Upasak is able to submerge himself completely in to this heavenly music he become what is known as a ” LAYA YOGI “. The Laya Yogi when continues practicing with more dedication, the amount of the breath that goes out of his nose gets reduced. This happens because his breathing has developed a tendency to get dispersed in to the natural music of human body. This stage continues for ever because this is the method and way, for which his soul and sense was desperately searching, gives the yogi the confidence to adhere on to that.
With this practice the number of breaths the Laya Yogi takes in and breaths out gets decreased. This decrease will considerably elongate the life span of a Laya Yogi. This can also explained with astrology, where a human being's life span is calculated (mapped) with the total number of days, specifically calculating the total number of breaths that he/she is destined to takes. As said earlier the number of breaths for a normal human being is about 21,600 a day and when the breaths gets elongated the time taken to complete a cycle of 21,600 also gets increased, so does the life span. The same principle can also be observed in animals also, those animals which take long breaths lives longer.
Even though the Laya Yogi has achieved a very high stage of being, it is believed that the breath inside the body, under extreme pressure, tries to goes out through 9 holes (imaginary) that are supposed to be there in any human being. At this stage again his Guru teaches him a few physical methods to block the passage of breath through these 9 holes and makes it secure within the body. May be this is the stage what is expected out of a human being when God created him in the beginning. This also is said in the Holy Bible that when God first created man, he made a human figure and placed his mouth on the mouth of the figure and passed his divine breath of life. God wanted the human to keep the divine breath inside but unfortunately the human who got life and started breathing, first he tried to expel the divine breath (life) that he received from God. But because of the power of God the breath went in again, the human who happened to be careless, expelled the life again. God when noticed this said that the one who disobeys him will suffer for that, and a human who disobeys God,by means of normal breath, will suffer (with his death). So a Laya Yogi when able stop the breath going out of the body and to circulate it completely within the body attains a very high stage of “Hada Yogi “.
Now when a Hada Yogi can completely control the breath and is able to follow and lead his own breath, he achieves a lot of physical powers. Because in this stage it is possible for that Hada Yogi to show many miracles many great Yogis had been distracted from their main aim and ended up as mere magicians when they achieved these extraordinary powers. If the Hada Yogi is not distracted by these powers and is able to follow his Guru’s directions with more dedication he will be able to know the existence of the life energy that follows or exist within the breath. This life energy is the one after which all the great Yogis of all the time and the excellent scientists of our time have dedicated their life.
The working style of the life energy is in a very humorous way. To explain that let us assume that by birth we get a small part of the universal life energy. This one stays calm in every living being, but with every breath we take in the universal life energy passes some information to the life energy within our body, sort of "Yes, You are there and you are fine!". This is a kind of gimmick shown by the universal life energy to make the life energy to stay subsided or else what happens is that the life energy will try to get out of the body. Even when we stop breathing, the life energy doesn’t get out that quickly, it still resides inside till he gets confirmation. To be precise till the warmth of the body has gone. In a normal stage the only way of interaction between these two are initiated by the universal energy and is totally obeyed by the life energy within. This slave characteristic of our life energy makes human being a helpless creature. The only way of liberating our life energy or the only way of conquering this universal life energy is to get inside and force him to mingle with our own life energy.
This could only be practiced by a Hada Yogi, and that too when he continues his practice properly to lead to the next stage - Raja Yoga. Till now, with practice, the Hada Yogi was able to control his breath completely and was able to know the real existence of life energy - kundaleeni - within himself. Now he practices with his kundaleeni and tries to control it. The practice is also very simple; he first synchronizes his concentration with his kundaleeni and its movements or characteristic behaviors and then later changes his focus complete to it and grabs its control. The same what a cowboy does to catch a wild horse. He then force the kundaleeni to adjust itself with his breath. This practice of controlling the kundaleeni includes stopping it at various positions or sacred spots in the body. This makes the kundaleeni completely vulnerable to Raja Yogi’s practice. This practice makes the kundaleeni a polite servant of the Raja Yogi so that even he can make the kundaleeni move out of his body and comeback. This practice of moving the kundaleeni out of the body makes it interact more closely with the universal energy and even try to mingle with it, but since the Raja Yogi controls the kundaleeni it does only those things which the the yogi want. Raja Yogam means "royal union".
When Raja Yogi continues his practice of Raja Yoga in this manner he starts to feel the divine combination with his senses. He feels the marvelous sensation of pleasure light. This light fills your body with pleasure when you see it with your half closed eyes. This is a splendid feeling and this pleasure is thousand times better than what we can achieve through sex. To understand it better we could just imagine light falling on your body from all directions and if that light could introduce pleasure of calmness and pleasure of being under the blue moonlight on a calm beach or the confidence of sleeping in your mothers lap or the pleasure of the coolbreeze which passes when you are siting between your beloved frineds or the care your father extends.
Raja Yogi practises this for a long period since the body, soul and mind has to develop the stability to enjoy these feelings.Later when he continues he finds himself (his life energy) getting elevated to a level where it feels being unique and one with the universal life energy. If we are able to understand our body and mind completely with the life energy within ourself, then it is possible to understand the entire universe if we are able to develop our life energy to feel one with the universal energy. This practice when done gives the Yogi the complete knowledge of the universe and the things inside it. This is the stage for which the scientists are deparetly trying to find out a way to achieve.
The question still remains, what about time, it did not came anywhere in the path of a Yogi ?
Yes, it did not appear as such, but it appeared as something else ! Time is the incapability of the human understanding, which hinders him on his way of being one with the universe. When a yogi feels the universal energy within himself, it passes the universal knowledge back to him. Then the Yogi is able to travel through time to find a particular knowledge, information or incident and can still remain in his body and time period. This time period means he again pretends like he does not have the complete knowledge. So it is the knowledge less ness that is time. This black out which fades our memory and knowledge to a very feeble level, where we are able to know only limited things in time.
By acquiring the universal knowledge it is possible for a Yogi to travel in time. But since he has to come back he doesn’t change a single thing in past and things in future because he represents the existence of universal life energy.
Even though we have gone through the time travel of a Yogi, I think this is a point where we should think a bit more on the motive with which the Yogi started his journey. Is the Yogi happy with his time travel ? "No", it is not the time travel what he was after. Its surely something bigger ... !?
How to achieve that stage is the next question. When the Yogi continues his practice of feeling the universal energy or in a Yogic way, when "jeevathma" merges with "paramathma" he attains another higher stage of being with the universe. He continues his practice and one point of time he feels his duties are over and when he recognizes the clinical time of his death has arrived he decide to completely merge with the universal energy. This decision of becoming one with the universe is known as "Samadhi". Samadhi can also be done in many ways. In Samadhi what a Yogi does is that he decide to make his sense get stabilized in the state of being with the universal energy(paramathma), which in return give him the universal knowledge and bliss at the same time. This is the highest state a human being can ever attain.
Ok now the theory ends, but who says this is correct ? How to prove the same ?. In the past many Yogi’s have attained the stage of Samadhi. There are some secret methods known to the practetioners to check whether a Yogi’s death is a clinical death or a divine Samdhii. These confirmatory tests will easly show the stages that Yogi has attained and without doubt prove the Samadhi. These confirmatory tests or indications could easily be understood even by ordinary people and this will also show many medical magics with regard to the working of brain, blood temperature and body as a whole.
Many have achieved it, many are still achieving it, and many more will achieve it in future. If the death of a single Yogi was a Samadhi then it is sure that what he practiced and believed is correct. To prove its(samadhi’s) existence I personally can help people, who are interested to know more, interested to know the truth, the time. If so, many might think why till now such an information was not open to world. Yes, it is true that even though many people achieved samadhi and other stages they never let the information out, because as the status of a Yogi develops to higher stages, his character also changes. All the great saints where silent people most of them never talked, never said anything, never tried to prove anything. They all lived to practice, believe and to love. More over the meditational secrets are supposed to be kept a secret and supposed to be passed to individuals privately and teach and practice under the watchful eyes of a Yogi, the Guru. This information was the Gospel which where passed from one person to another and who so ever got it, got elevated and became saints. This information is the path to truth and time. Waiting for you in time………
