View Full Version : What's Out Your Window?
The Flemster 07-06-04, 06:39 AM Take a look outside your window now. What can you see?
(It's that simple!)
I can see the local courthouse (now some kind of hippy, new-wave church hall) and a multi-level car park. In the distance, I can make out the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf in London.
Oh, and some bird with big ladybumps just walked by, drawing my attention. (It's a scorcher today!)
The Flemster.

gendanken 07-06-04, 07:50 PM I see a bush.
A big bush with fat, horny drunks picking the crabs from its fishy branches.
My Sexy Blue Feet 07-06-04, 08:46 PM I see my across-the-path neighbours ( i live in student accomidation, so we're all squashed in), and my vase with a pink flower on the ledge, and some gum trees, and the uni with cars. The roundabout coming into my road. A fence. Two streetlights
gendanken 07-06-04, 08:55 PM "i live in student accomidation, so we're all squashed in"
You smell of blue cheese, don't you? If not you, the carpet.
Or the curtains- perhaps you're immune to your own smell.
Smell the curtains- bet it smells of blue cheese.
Something about students squashed in like sardines on campus always carrying with it it the stench of rockstars- bluescheese.
Or anus.
Esoteric 07-06-04, 09:53 PM I see a car shop across the street. Next to it, a neighborhood garden, 3 old dudes sitting around playing dominoes and talking shyt. A couple of degenerates sitting in front of my apartment building and 4 fuks playing baseball at the end of the street corner while 2 of their friends sit on a friends car.
Regular night in the upper east side of NY.
spuriousmonkey 07-07-04, 04:27 AM I see one wing of our precious institute, a round blue library, some grass, and a highway.

Closet Philosopher 07-31-04, 01:08 PM ^ Lol, yeah.

OverTheStars 08-01-04, 06:30 AM I'd rather steal corn.
Jolonar 08-01-04, 06:31 AM I see trees, roads, lakes, houses, hills, clouds, bugs, birds, bees. It's rather pleasant at night!

In a manner you are right. I'm a developmental biologist.
developmental biologist?... what are you developing? growing extra arms or giant ants?
in short what does a developmental biologist do?
spuriousmonkey 08-09-04, 12:55 AM He or she studies the development of an organism from fertilized egg to adult state. Since this is rather a large topic to cover developmental biologists usually specialize in the development of a particular organ or process during a certain limited timeframe in a specific organism.
Interesting, so do you study the growing of extra arms on fetuses
saw a program about the development of a human child from start to end, well almost i only watch until around 5-6 month, quite amazing how it grows from egg and beyond, but it did not have any extra arms :)
spuriousmonkey 08-09-04, 03:01 AM No...I'm looking at tooth development.
http://biology.*******************/articles/tummers-article-III.pdf
i have only read the summery sofar, but is that a 9 page article on the inciser and molars of rodents... do they have extra arms... ok im stopping now

That's the view from my window. You can see my computer tower too. Atop is a pack of printer paper from Staples, my German dictionary (kinda hidden), and The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need by Joanna Martine Woolfolk. Ya can see a brown building out the window. That's an apartment building. Sometimes the police go over there. Sometimes there's a party, and I can hear the music. I live in the "good" white apartments, full of old people. Ugh.
Hope ya like!
ILikeSalt, it looks like yer city is a Winter Wonderland! That mountain is BEAUTIFUL with snow on it! Where do ya live?
rGEMINI 08-22-04, 01:35 AM waaaa waa look out my windows *shunders* *continues to repeat* there is not other world then the net =P

Dreamwalker 08-29-04, 04:52 PM Lol, better get yourself some VR goggles, then you only see the net and never the outside world.
It is a simulation anyway, we are all living in the matrix. :D
rGEMINI 08-30-04, 08:23 PM Haha. Ya only WANT to think there's no world other than the Net!

If it were a couple of hours on you could probably see my back garden complete
with pond, apple trees and various other organic junk
(but in a couple of hours i'll be asleep, and you hopefully will be elsewhere).
Maybe if you looked hard enough you could see that
pesky squirel that keeps knocking all the apples off of the apple trees...

The Charmer 12-31-04, 06:39 AM An interesting and yet simple thread...
Out of my window (at the moment) are two Jehhova's bloody Witnesses. I have politely ignored them thus far but I feel my spastic coughing fit, bought on by a more genorous than usual helping of Marlboros last night, maty have alerted them to my presence.
I feel that if the wankers do not move on rather sharply, I shall be forced to be less than charming to them...
Happy New Year everone! (Just not the Jaffas!)
Charmed...
top mosker 12-31-04, 07:26 PM 2 feet of snow! Most we've ever seen.
