What would you pick for a new topic at Sciforums?

I would pick:

Invention Ideas- Where everyone at Sciforums can put forth invention ideas and maybe even develop the inventions and sell them under the Sciforums name! Everyone that made the invention could get money for it and some of the money could even be divided among allthe members of sciforums! Or something like this but different.

Stories- Everyone could write stories. These could be SciFi, Real Life, or anything else such as comedies with the Sciforums members as the characters.

Everyone give your opinions and ideas!:)

Economy forum. I also like the creative writing forum idea you have....many can write quite good here so it makes sense.

A history and futurology forum. Talk about the future and the past.

I think that we should have an ad homonim, and abuse forum. You know, a sub-forum where rules to not apply and people can just go and shout at each other and call each other names. Maybe if we have a special place just for that kind of behavior it'll stay out of the rest of the board. . . or maybe we could just move threads that degenerate into that kind of thing into the abuse forum so that they aren't mixed in with the good healthy threads.

Haha, somehow I think it's going to happen regardless of encouragement.

I'm not a big history fan myself, but I think that a history forums would fit in nicely.

I've read stuff by Thomas Kuhn before; he has a lot to say about the history of science, and it's very interesting stuff.

I think there should be a chemistry/chemical engineering forum...

I think history is a bad idea, people will bomb it. I like chem. sub-forum though (because I'm bias) both though could exist better under other sub-froums for example:

Science & Society
scientific ethics, social responsibility, history

or

Human Science
psychology, cognition, sociology, anthropology, archaeology, history

and

General Science & Technology
chemistry, engineering, theoretical technologies

I don't think we need another forum until our population get much higher.

Perhaps more forums would attract a larger amount of people.

History is a thumbs up and there is too much different kinds of history for it to be sub-categorized.

Maybe instead of just history we could have a Past,Present,and Future forum where we could talk about things from the past and present that could influence the future.

Also we could talk about alternate versions of the future!:D

Um yeah back to the topic.

A project that everyone on Sciforums could do would be making a Sciforums book or monthly magazine.

We would need a new sub-forum to handle all the info and input
that it would produce but it would be worth it!

History all teh way, Atleast i will post in it.:p

Or mabye we could have a BITCHING FORUM. Users who have disputes could go there, start a User name vs User Name thread, and bitch to eachother on how much they hate eachother. This will eliminate fighting between users in serious threads and provide entertainment for the rest of us:D

Well I must admit that there are a few threads that get a little out of hand.

Maybe a more science like name for the forum would be:

Arguments in Relation to Sciforums Topics.

Or for a cooler sounding name:

Sciforums Greatest Battles: See Who Will Win, Lose and Draw

And as a additional forum:

Place Your Bets on Who Will Win,Lose, and Draw

And you would also need a side forum to decide who actually won the debate:

Who Do You Think Won: Voting Takes Place Here:)

Not true debates......just arguements more or less. A history forum sounds promising.

Aren't there currency add ons to these type ofboards

I say we do an organized debate section based on a voting system and compose teams and such. ;) ... or not

What we need is a special voting subforum.

I was thinking since some people might not see a voting section if its on only one of the sub-forums that exist now maybe a temporary sub-forum should be created for this.

And after the debating and voting is complete the temporary voting subforum could be turned into the new permanent subforum.

there should also be sex and drug foums cause those topix end up everywhere and they really need a place as theyr probably the most common topix, yet have no foums!
