It is about the police keep trying to catch him committing crime, and think he is a gansta just because he is a black rapper. You don't need to explain rap to me man, I listen to it every now and then. Eminem is pretty good. I've heard Mockingbird before. I also like his song Slim Shady.
Not all rap is about popping someone and slapping your hoe ( Toy Soldiers is the closest, along with No Love to the popping someone category, but they are good ). I recommend Toy Soldiers, No Love and When I'm Gone to start, also Beautiful and Mockingbird. I think the reason they use so much swear words is because they need words to fill in. The worse I listen to is no worse then what you hear walking down the hall at a high school, and what we watch the Geo class ( real recorded combat footage from the British, Canadian and US Armies, along with others, but mostly those three ).
During the summer, I tried listening to rap. Some of it is actually good. I only like a few rapper and rap songs, most of it Eminem, those with more poetic lyrics (When I'm Gone, Beautiful, Mocking Bird, Toy Soldiers, No Love .etc), you should look them up on playlist.com they are actually pretty good. Now I listen to a lot less Japanese stuff, now I listen to rock, R&B and rap.
