Considering the history of ideas and the character of the intelligence of men (logically focused), it is not at all surprising that men surpass women in intelligence. This would also be needed in societies which demanded from men a role of hunting, specifically in the complicated, large-scale game killings.

this is one poorly done scientific study. no conclusions should be drawn from this. it should merely be a jumping off point for more rigorous scientific work.

 

I only believe reports and scientific studies that I want to believe ....all the others I just call "bullshit" and "crap", and ignore them! ...LOL!

I don't trust studies and statistics, I go by personal observation. I suggest that a diminished level of oetrogen can make women smarter; if that means that men, having less oestrogen than women, are smarter than so be it.

This has been demonstrated before, but its tricky because the difference in IQ only shows up after age 16...possibly because girls mature faster than boys???

I've read about this. It shouldn't be too surprising. In fact, even though it's generally accepted that men score about the same as women in IQ tests, I was always suspicious. This is because men seem to score significantly better than women in many other cognition tests, like the SATs, ACTs, ASVABs, etc. Men also have bigger brains, even after adjusting for body size, which is something known to have significant correlations with IQ.

It seems it would be tempting for people to slightly fudge the data to make things seem equal.

Take East Asians. They're generally smaller than Caucasoids in terms of body size. But in fact, their brains are bigger. And so are their IQs.

 

That is true. Low IQ and high testosterone are two ingredients that cause a lot of people to be in prisons. No wonder then, that prisons are occupied by so many males!

Take a random sample of people with very low IQs and they will be largely male. Take a random sampe of geniuses and they will be largely male. That's what it is to be male: it's all or nothing.

 

What is the ratio to females at both ends of the scale?

 

Can't find anything about the ratio.
