I put a [ENC]shitload [/ENC]of content in it today. Maybe other people feel inspired by this and will do the same.
"I put a [enc]shitload[/enc] of content in it today. Maybe other people feel inspired by this and will do the same." (I will try to put some real content up at some point. Scout's Honor.)
Hey. I tried putting one in, but when I went to User Manual thingy it took me to the REAL wikipedia... Here's what I was going to make it say: "Shitload is an American [citation needed] slang term meaning "a lot". Often used by primates as they have a feces-flinging fetish."
just type in [ENC]shitload [/ENC]or any word at the search bar on the front page. You will get an option to create an article if it isn't there yet.
Heh. Yeah. I know. I learned that from the user manual. Did it. Made the article. Linked to it here. Then clicked the link and it didn't say anything.... Tried figuring out what the hell was going on and realized that I had tried making the page on the real wiki not our wiki.... I actually saw the page for a minute, not sure if it was deleted or if it never actually saved because I wasn't logged in. Ooops.
A handful of members here now have articles on them, a lot of them created last night by me and spurious. You can see them in this category: [ENC]Category:SciForums members[/ENC] Most of 'em are just little stubbies, but they're yours. Note that if you register an account at the wiki, you have a personal user page in the user namespace, which is different from these encyclopedic articles in the main namespace. Compare [ENC]Athelwulf[/ENC] with [ENC]User:Athelwulf[/ENC]. Oh, and you guys can be link happy if you'd like. That's what I did most of last night, made so much shit wikified it's crazy. Most of this is the fruit of my labor: [ENC]Special:Mostlinked[/ENC] And I set up my own personal list of essential links that I want and aren't in the sidebars at [ENC]User:Athelwulf#Quick_links[/ENC]. You can copy the wiki marked-up text to your own user pages when you get around to making your accounts. And we're not limited to stuff about SciForums. Spurious has a bunch of science articles, such as [ENC]evolution[/ENC] and [ENC]stem cell[/ENC]. And I've started [ENC]theory[/ENC]. Have fun. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I noticed that when I enclosed a word with a period after it in the enc tags it couldn't find the page. Shouldn't there be a way to strip the period or send to a search page or something?
Oh? [enc]Samcdkey[/enc]. Muahahahahaha!!! That really is a good picture. See, Sam, you should have just left your boobs up. The legend only grows with each passing day.
It would be a crushing blow to post them now. They've taken on a life of their own in the imaginations of the forum. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
The trick is to keep extraneous stuff like punctuation marks outside of the tags. Spurious seemed to insist that they be posted. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Is TeX integrated with the encylopaedia? With the wikipedia, you can include equations like: \(E = mc^2\) by enclosing TeX code in <math></math> tags. But right now, that doesn't seem to work... Is this easy to fix, Plazma Inferno! (?) If so, could you get it up and running?
Guys you rock! :bravo: Sorry for late respond! We'll check all the glitches and fix them if it's possible. Also, there will be lot of vandals and spammers, so feel free to eliminate them and their content.
