great. right about the time i thought i was going to get lucky you slip in a guy with a mangina and manboobs.
i've added the unofficial editors, contributers, etc, to the main page. oops, for some reason it didn't stay. i think i screwed it up.
no, this [ENC]nazi [/ENC]edited it a small bit. I took the members list out and added the link. Maybe it was a bit too much for the [ENC]unofficial encyclopedia team[/ENC] to make the frontpage their homepage.
*IF* you want to format entries in the sciforums wiki properly, you might want to look at the "Harvard System" of Citing and Referencing which I believe is the intending Industrial Standard for citation. Keeping to the same methodology I gather is suppose to make articles clear and presentable to scholars worldwide, however I'm guessing this would only be important on any serious academically noteworthy articles. What would be good would be to see any such articles not so much "Vandalised" but reformed into the equivalent of an easily digestible text similar to Comic books. (Now you just need some artists to make it a touch above other Wiki's)
"Harvard System of Citing and Referencing"? So far we can't even get people to use capital letters at the beginning of their sentences.....
It's much more difficult to make a [ENC]comic [/ENC]than to write a [ENC]science [/ENC]paper. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
i've added 25 or so more items. at this rate we will surpass wikipedia, hell, we may even buy 'em out.
One more thing about the comic idea. Currently it is not feasible because you cannot upload pics. Pictures will therefore be dependent of a myriad of different hosts and servers. I can already predict that everything on my server space will be gone next year because I am quitting hosting spuriousmonkey.com.
They're quite long odds. You don't sound very confident. spurious can't host the wiki. As someone who's against the private ownership of communal property, it would ruin him.
