US dollars, British pounds, or Euros? I've paid up to 60 pounds but would pay more if I really liked them. I got a nice pair of dress shoes last year for about 35 pounds, reason they were so cheap is that they are made in Brazil, equivalent Italian ones with a fancy label on the sole cost about 130.
i have paid quite alot in the past for shoes, i have a pair of gucci shoes that cost over £200 and a pair of red or dead shoes that cost around £110. no they are not worth it considering the cost to make the shoes. but good shoes do last a long time, cheap shoes dont usualy, i do have a pair of steel toe timberlands that have lasted me like forever, they have braved the worst conditions in the worst enviroments, and have saved my toes from bieng squished more than once Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! they were around £70-£80. we in the west get ripped off for our shoes/clothing, its rediculous my friend comes back from china each year with suitcases full of items for the cost of dirt. watches/shoes/handbags/suits/shirts etc etc. peace.
you cant buy 1 single white nike for your left foot for £20 sterling here. (maybe at market but not in the shops) some people pay over £120 for nikes here usualy TN's or new airs. i wear air force ones, there around £50 but last me years. solid built. peace.
no I am in USA just as most people here are. My father knows good deals. Anyways, I guess its not nikes' Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! lemme check: yup its Reebok. oopsyPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
You see my friends the reason for this post is due to my bad fortune. I recently acquired a pair of shoes from Kohls (brand Sonoma). They looked rather sturdy and well built, however.... when washing my vehicle I began noticing they didn't feel so comfortable. Naturally I figured it was my imagination... later what do you think happened?......... they are so cheap the dye actually came off on my socks Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I was very upset and sadened by this incident. I did manage to obtain a good pair of Reebocks... good thing those are made well Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Any way, I've paid £100 for Lloyd shoes for going to work and £80 for trekking boots. Have used the latter for some 5 or 6 years now. Probably will buy new ones after the next hike at the beggining of may. No problem with the current ones, but they look very worn on the outside and I don't want an unexpected boot failure in a middle of a swamp with the closest footwear shop 250km away.
No, you aren't. It's called paying for distribution, marketing, quality control etc. Actually, they are paid wages that are too low for their production so the corporations can become wealthy and pass on the savings to you in the process. If there is a ripoff, it's your corporations who jack up the prices so they can pocket most of the profit and the unfair low wages.
