can we have a forum chat bot or a few please just to play about with? maybe they can get there very own little forum, or place them in the cesspool as sticky threads? it would be good if we could get the most up to date forum bots, maybe a super "smart" debate bot? peace.
i think it would be a fun little novelty Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! sure it might get boring after a while but i think it will entertain people a little. theres no harm in having one in the cesspool. peace.
I know there are loads on the net but it would be cool to have our own. And what would be really good would be to introduce it with no... well, no introduction. Spot the bot. See how long it would take us to work it out - if we ever do. Even if it was only moderately sophisticated, something tells me that we never would!
i know a martial arts forum with a funny bot. am i allowed to post the self defence forum link here? or am i not allowed? peace.
That was a bit of easter eggish nostalgia for anyone who screwed around wiht the original sound blaster card(the first one).

Besides scientific experiments and intelligent discussions at sciforums, why in the name of heaven would anyone write a program like that?
For fun; to see if they can; to advance the field of AI; lots of reasons. Mainly though it's derived from AI research - attempts to design a human-like intelligence. The best ones learn from and adapt to user input over time. Talking to them can be an interesting experience if you're remotely interested in how computers and humans 'think'.
