If anyone was blown away with the only-message if non-duality in the movie The Matrix, there is another movie that goes way beyond the non-duality the writers of the Bhagavad Gita could imagine. The movie is the Fight Club. The Fight Club gives us the EXACT SAME message of the Bhagavad Gita but unlike the Gita its message is pristine and pure because it is unpolluted with any moral, social, divine or religious values. The message is the same: In the Gita: Krishna: Arjuna, I am your hallucination. In the Matrix: Tyler Durden: Narrator (Ed Norton), I am your hallucination... so everything I do is also your hallucination, and if you understand that then you will realize that if something I do affects you then you must be a hallucination too. If only Krishna knew how simple the message is, but only if social values, morals and ethics do not pollute the ONLY message of non-duality: there is no other, not even Krishna. -- the Hallucinating Hallucination of “there is no other,” Now.
Brad Pitt was Tyler Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! YOU GODDAMMED SPOILED THE MOVIE FOR ME! @#%@#%
Actually Brad PItt was playing a hallucination. Ed Norton was Tyler. That's why the bartender, for example, reacted the way he did. It was always Ed. YOU GODDAMMED SPOILED THE MOVIE FOR ME! @#%@#%[/QUOTE]
I feel sorry for you. Why don't you read Gita again and understand the gist of what the author is saying!!! I can argue that the Matrix does indeed has a gist of what Gita said.. But the way you put it, was horrible.. I'm sorry to say that... Anyways.. try reading again and understand it more clearly.. Good Luck..
Fight Club and The Matrix: Choosing Your World So this "curriculum for life" called Landmark Education actually was a cataylst for the writers of each of these novels and now widely respected films. Graduates of these programs were said to be the writers of these films as each of the three courses in the "curriculum" teaches individuals about their own power, ability to inspire, and possibility of being who and wherever they each want to be in life. Hence the creation of worlds and the choice between the two. I HIGHLY suggest ANY and EVERY one register in these courses as they're absolutely life altering. Google it... you'll see plenty of evidence but never a commercial because they aren't out to advertise but rather promoted by word of those who've completed their material. I'm only 20 and would have paid the tuition one hundred times over for what I gained in the short weekends I was in attendance. I sat amongst people in their 70's looking back at their lives and wishing they'd known this stuff at my age. It's indescribable and absolutely incredible! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Why do girls like Brad Pitt so much? There are other hunks out there more handsome than him.? Girls say they like Brad Pitt because he is a real man. How and why is that? Is this just a promotional thing. It seems like the media brainwash people. I mean Angelina Jolie was considered one of the most beautiful women. What? Compare to who? Playboy models and porn stars. I don't think so.
I haven't seen Fight Club, but The Matrix does focus on a lot more philosophies than just non-dualism, such as Causality, Free-will vs. Fate, nihilism, Plato's cave allegory, and many others; especially a lot of Eastern Philosophical ideas. I don't know about Fight Club for sure, but I doubt I've seen any other movie with drawing from so many intellectual domains and yet remaining as gripping and thrilling as the Matrix movies have.
Hallucination derives from the fact that you do not know anything about people because even if you inquire into the thoughts of others they themselves may be deluded in thinking that what they say is true. Hasn't the ever happened to you that you state something to someone but then realize later it wasn't completely like that? Communication between persons is utterly difficult. But no, there is a physical world with forms but the reality is that you don't even know yourself.
Not in Gita. Seems to be some twisted trnslation. Chapter and verse please, so may I give correct, verbatim translation.
