True statement. However, if it's much farther than a room's distance, you'll probably miss your target. :roflmao:

Yup, Krummlauf was a bag of sh*t.
    Didn't last long at all.
    Barrel wear characteristics were abysmal.

Did you even click on the link? Barrel wear? Of which gun that can be attached to that stock and mount? You can fit a 40mm grenade launcher, a Beretta 9mm pistol, an M16, and other small arms types.

EDIT: I just realized that you may not be talking about the same gun that is in the link that I posted.

I didn't need to click on the link - I wrote that it had been done, was rubbish (i.e. in the past).
    WWII German weapon - Krummlauf.

    [Not Edit]
Yup, different weapon: went into service and died a well-deserved death...

Wouldn't it be better to blow the shit out of the drug dealers? It would seem to me they are the root of the drug problems anywhere. If there were no dealers , there won't be any drugs. Don't go nutz and say it is up to the individual themselves to not buy dugs, teenagers don't have the sense as to what to do and are easily influenced by their peers who sell them the drugs.

The root of the drug problem is the government, which decided to make a popular commodity illegal. When something people want is only available on the black market, it tends not to be a nice polite, civilized form of business like selling tobacco or booze. Look at the violence that surrounded the alcohol industry during Prohibition. When's the last time you heard of liquor dealers shooting each other or their customers?

The supply of some drugs might be curtailed by eliminating all the dealers, but not all drugs. Alcohol is easy to brew and citizens simply began making it at home during Prohibition. The ones who were really good at it sold it to their friends and neighbors and were called moonshiners. Marijuana is called "weed" because it is a weed and grows even in places like Moscow and Alaska. Meth is so easy to make that an idiot can do it and the proof is that a lot of idiots are doing it and blowing up their houses.

Besides, if you think you can kill off all drug dealers you really don't understand Economics 101 and the Law of Supply and Demand. If people want something, other people will step forward to supply it. No matter how risky the business is, there are people who are willing to accept that risk if they're paid highly enough. The price of the commodity rises and professional risk-takers, commonly known as criminals, take over the market. Kill off the existing ones and a new breed of more violent ones will take over the business. The astronomical profits are used to bribe the police and other government officials. A new level of official corruption was another effect of Prohibition.

The Soviet Union was one of the most repressive societies in history, and drugs were available there. Drugs are available in America's prisons, which are supposedly airtight.

Most people do not suffer serious ill effects from most drugs, so they have no reason to be supportive of government policies that prohibit those drugs. A sizeable number of them will continue to look for sellers regardless of the laws. Particulary in America, a nation that was founded on the principle of disrespect for government.

If teenagers are using drugs to escape from reality, perhaps it is because they look at the adults in their lives and realize that some day they'll have lives just like theirs.

I don't know what country you're talking about, Fraggle, but in the USA, the "government" didn't make that decision, the people did, the voters.

And as for your idea about "popular commodity" economics, I must assume that you're definitely NOT an advocate of any form of gun control ....because that's definitely a "popular commodity".

"Popular commodity"? So you must be an advocate of child porno movies and such sites on the Internet ...because child porno is one very hot commodity in the world today.

"Popular commodity"? Geez, I wonder what else is a "popular commodity" that you think should be openly available to anyone who wants it? Maybe those after me could begin making a list of such "popular commodities"?

As of October 2006, it was still at least in R&D, but I'm sure you won't click on the link since you seem to be the Sciforums know-it-all when it comes to weapons.
