Although my 'arse' is an observer that can collapse a wave-function, it is not sentient, has no emotion, and can therefore not be jealous. What your ad-hom assertion does show is that you anthropomprhized my 'arse' just as your alpha sentient observer assertions shows that you anthropomorphize reality.

Check out post #32. It's a very correctly interpreted paraphrase of the message.

    Ripley, what do you value?

So... there is no such thing as a forum bullying, reducing individuals here to resort to mking such rash decisions? - And so as a punnishment, 6 months is the result? Disproportional and wrong.

The solution is to remain cool headed and not make rash decisions.

No the real solution should be that no one should be subjected to forum bullying. :bugeye:

Even so, making rash decisions don't help you towards achieving that solution.

And bullying presumably includes having your threads moved to the pseudo-science forum/cesspool if you don't agree?

I'm still waiting for the poll you promised.

What's wrong with pseudoscience? I've posted there myself when I had nothing more than speculation on me.

There you go. Lets hear it for evidence!

As far as I understand, Reiku is questioning the very notion of "evidence".
At least philosophically, this is a perfectly legitimate concern.

Which has a place in the Philosophy section, not Science.

Philosophy and Science have been ignoring each other much, but mostly it is Science who ignores Philosophy.

They work at crossed purposes a lot.
    It is inefficient.

Evidence ? I'll find another chair and make a certified recording of it collapsing
in the presence of three witnesses

That's simply not true. Philosophy spawned science which is now leaving analytical philosophy high and dry,

If you are referring to ethics, that's a different matter, although it does not belong solely in the domain of philosophy.

If you have something else in mind, I should be interested to hear what it is.

Science - revealing how things work
Philosophy - pondering why they must work just so

The difference is...Reiku can't tell the difference. I'm sure a poll will actually give some empirical evidence that no one thinks that Reiku knows what he is talking about, which is probably why Reiku hasn't started one as he promised to a few posts back.
