Just like Angels of God, moderators are elected to be followed and praised.

no, that is wrong. Forgive all and accept everything, improve yourself and do not act evil upon evil.

I was going to vote yes, or no, or whichever it was - what was the question? - but, anyway, draqon's lovely picture convinced me of the truth.

We're not fit to lick the mods shit-caked boots, really, when all's said and done.

We don't have to. We agreed to, when we registered and each time we post.

Moreover, you yourself post about how you hate your neighbors, how you want to hurt this or that person.
And those posts of yours stay at the forum and you didn't seem to get any warnings about that. Apparently, you have been allowed hate speech. Apparently, you very much can say whatever you want.

If anything, with this thread, you are advocating double standards: That you should be allowed hate speech, but others should not.

roght ok, i have been allowed such speeches, however when i insulted someone i was banned for 2 days! so i was taught a lesson, and rightfully so, what i said was bang out of order!

i never ever (since my banning) get personal on members! however it hink i just fucking might!

It's a bit like the American Government. They believe they are beyond prosecution and judgement, so they floute the law with the highest impunity.

I think this initial post is a little wrong.

While this site has many moderators, most of them do try their best not to be offensive or either be overly offensive or troll other posters threads. However there are a few that push boundaries like many of the posters here do and the Moderation/Administration team does not necessarily agree with their methods or statements.

The problem is that as Moderators are Volunteers they are not "contracted" to abide by specific rules as if this site was a company, which is why in the very rules of this website it's stated that the owners of the site (and administrators/moderators) can not be held responsible for peoples personal views or content submitted by them.

To put it bluntly, the reason that most moderators respond to such posts like this and might come across as defending or not adding much in the way of defense is because moderators do not have as much control as people would suggest.

Basically each moderator has their own understanding of what they do here and what they might believe they are trying to do for sciforums future. Some might be selfless and want to see this community evolve, while others will be just clever enough to become a moderator just to get around being moderated themselves for their senseless trolling. (I'm not saying it happens here, but I know for a fact that other forums have people become moderators just to abuse the "rights" they get and give a forum a bad name. It's an unfortunate problem that in all honesty can not be remedied by a Staff of volunteers with no background checks)

At the end of the day, the future of the forum is in the hands of it's owners rather than it's moderators or community for that matter, perhaps it's an evolutionary dead end, but in essence it's the main reason for what is seen as moderator Apathy.

As it's been stated, If members have problems with particular moderators. Voice your concern directly to Plasma. If they are truly that insulting then it's likely there will be more than just one person willing to voice their concerns about a particular moderator which will make sure it's taken seriously. a Public poll in all respects isn't going to taken seriously, not because of the OP not being taken seriously but due to such polls being voted on just for drama and not giving an accurate figure of discontent.

I guess you can say, if you have a problem PETITION directly.

Ok, but I assume Plazma has eyes.
So he most likely agrees with how things are going down, in which case complaining won't do much good.

That's just it though, as long as gendanken's a mod we can say anything, shut the fuck up before you close this window of opportunity. I complain about mods when they're like jamesr or tiassa, just no fucking sense of humour whatsoever and will ban you for looking at a negro cock eyed.
Not only will gendanken not do that, the other mods have their hands tied because gendanken is a moderator and it would be hypocritical for them to be banning anyone for vulgarity or personal insults while she is mod. It's great.
Just shut your stupid, froggy, little welsh mouth before you ruin it you frumpy old blister of shit.

    See? It's fantastic.

Just like the French hoity-toity class at the time of the Revolution, mods should be slapped into the guillotine, and we should all gather 'round swilling wine while we decapitate them one by one, grabbing up their severed heads to see if any of them live for a couple seconds after the National Razor's done it's work - then doing a bit of road-bowling with their noggins so as to prove they could at least serve some purpose...

Pah. Too good for 'em. I envisage something like the Mayan sacrifice scenes from Apocalypto where hearts are cut from chests, cooked and eaten, then their heads lopped off and rolled like bowling balls down the pyramid steps to the delight of the watching crowd.

But then I am a sadistic cannibal with a criminal record to prove it.
