Anyone who's attended a U.S. public university knows that this is the idol of radical left-wing students and professors.

What the leftists don't want you to know about this Communist thug is all the blood on his hands :
"Che's murderous method in La Cabana fortress in 1959 was exactly Stalin's murderous method in the Katyn Forest in 1940"

What ? that he was a bad guy ?
You wouldn't know that going to a university campus. Campus book stores at the U of M (and probably other universities) have all kinds of books making this Communist thug look like a "hero". And left-wing students that occasionally pridefully where shirts with his picture on them.

Apparently he only offed a couple of thousand - a pathetically small number for a supposed revolutionary.

I killed more people than that on my way to the shop to buy milk this morning.

Aye, seems there's a nice rosey coloured view of ald Che. His real name was Burt Lancaster you know, and he invented the Rubix cube. That was before he decided to become a "freedom fighter". It is testimony how students tend to let others do their thinking for them, write them down and then get credit for this ingenius way of calculating another's worth. Malcolm X was another one (born Terissa Mewholme, paved the way for people with knock-eye to be taken seriously in bus queues). Lovely fella he was. I like Socialism, it's something to do when there's nothing on telly.

Well, my college friends were History majors, so they never made the mistake of elevating Che to a position he didn't deserve.

A nuanced one, that reflects his actual history and not just his image as a revolutionary.

    Here are some possibilities-

    1. They are morons
    2. People are their own worst enemies
    3. Die young (doesnt hurt)
    4. Romanticize murderers

How many Indians died? Are Americans the descendants of a group of people led by someone like this, that is, who'd kill to meet an objective that is perceived for a common good?

Coming from the same people that support invasion of Iraq or Vietnam to fight communism or bring freedom? Che wanted freedom from the tyranny of capitalism.

    Everyone is.

The main thing is that he died young, was fairly good looking (helps with the mystique) and did not live long enough to acquire wealth and live in a palace on his fat ass while everyone else suffered.

You almost sound sympathetic to Che's Communism...

    LOL

People fleeing from opressive governments come to the "evil" capitalist USA in droves, and people knowingly risk their lives all the time to flee Che's "wonderful Communist Cuba".
Yea, lots of tyranny in capitalism....
