the link won't work :bawl: did they kill it that soon?

on the the SW targeting.... i mean have you seen the New Hope and Revenge of the Sith? thier gun plutforms are slow, crude and clumsy. and the reloading mechanism on those heavy guns in RotS?!! 18th century gun operation. fire control has been more advanced in WW1. how do you expect them to hit anything smaller then an Earth sized object?

o0' Are you insane Saquist? I mean... it COULD be a good fight... but I think HyperWarp would sort of compensate for the Stargates (plus you can't put a Daedelus thru the Stargate

    Dude.
Stargate weapons like the Asgard beam weapons would carve up a starship an Hyperspace in Stargate can cross between two Galaxies in weeks.

how powerful exactly are these weapons? are there point of reference that can be used to measure them against SW and ST weapons? have they been used on unshielded "normal" targets like rocks and planetary objects?

i tried searching the net, but what the sites usually state is: plasma beams that penetrate most SG shielding with ease, which does not say much

Maybe... I dunno. I just don't think Stargate would stand a chance. Maybe if you include SG Atlantis then sure. Asguard beams, the supergate, the small fleet Earth finally built... but isn't the Prometheus the last remaining Daedelus class ship?

Also, I think Phasers and Photons would be able to penetrate SG shielding no problem... big issue would be the replicators, who seem immune to energy weapons. Though, I guess dissemilation via borg nanites would work?

I wonder if the borg and replicators would team up. I mean think about it, they are both very similar, in beliefs, maybe tech, and organization. I would not be surprised.

The Borg and Replicators probably wouldn't so much as 'team up' as 'combine'...i.e. one of them would assimilate/absorb the other.

If the Replicators won, they'd absorb Borg tech for their use (the bio matter would simply be used for atomic building blocks). Meaning, they'd still be the little spider like mechanos, but they'd be able to build into a Cube or a Borg soldier; perhaps produce Borg weapons etc.

If the Borg won, they'd assimilate Replicators themselves to use...ie the Borg soldiers would be re-armored, wherein for example their suits now produced weapons as the situation called for (enhancing adaptability).

Either way...the result would probably be catastrophic

How does this prove that the Stargate folks would win? All this proves is that the Asgard beam weapon is impressive.

I gotta say, borg+replicators. Could probably beat the snot out of ST, SW, together.
